25.01.2022 What does chemistry mean to our little scientists? The little scientists tested ph levels on different variables using a universal indicator compared to red cabbage juice. The students were able to use hot plate burners, beakers and chemicals. At KHPS we learn with enthusiasm and sustain our love of learning.

24.01.2022 What does NAIDOC week look like at KHPS? NAIDOC 2020 invites all Australian’s to see hear, learn and embrace the history of this country. We celebrated the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

24.01.2022 What are our Year 3/4 learners wondering and inquiring into today? Please enjoy a short video of some of our Year 3/4 students special inquiry projects on South America. Our students chose their topic, wrote their own inquiry questions, researched their answers and creatively presented their work.



23.01.2022 How did we go at this weeks fitness and challenge? What a great day of sports today for KHPS! Both the boys and girls cricket teams had fantastic wins. The girls won 101-93, the regular lunch time practice is paying off as the fielding and bowling was outstanding. Out boys team had another comfortable victory 112-76, another great all round performance by the team. In Volley Ball, our boys team won 2sets - 1set while our girls team were close but lost 1-2. In Tennis, both res...ults were very close, with our girls team winning 7-5 while our boys team losing 5-7. Again well done to the tennis playing for their regular practice at lunch time. Our T-ball teams played at Le Page which results split. Boys won 14-9 while the girls team lost 4-13. Overall all of our students are constantly improving, showing excellent sportsmanship and having a great time. Keep up the great work KHPS!

22.01.2022 How did our Year 6 Good Friday fundraiser go? Our empathetic and compassionate Year 6 students organized a pajama day and donated the proceeds to the Royal children’s hospital Good Friday Appeal. We are proud to make a positive difference in the lives of other children.... $411.40 was raised! Thank you to our community for the support.



22.01.2022 The students in Year 1 have been writing their stories after inquiring into Julia Donaldson’s story The Highway Rat. They wrote a draft, revised and edited their writing, then published their book with a front cover, a title page, page numbers, illustrations and a blurb! A few students even wrote a dedication. Some students wanted to share their stories with the school community after working so hard on their books.

21.01.2022 How are our Year 6 team thinking of other children leading up to Good Friday? Our empathetic and compassionate Year 6 students Fulla and Makaylah have organized a fundraiser and are encouraging all students to come to school in their pajamas on Tuesday 30th March with a gold coin donation. All money will be donated to the Royal children’s hospital Good Friday Appeal to make a positive difference in the lives of other children.

21.01.2022 How do we ensure our Emergency evacuation procedures are undertaken with expediency and safety at KHPS? Today our code yellow was called indicating an offsite evacuation. Our staff, students and contractors evacuated successfully at the designated meeting point within the required time with ease.... Congratulations to everybody involved. See more

10.01.2022 What was this weeks fitness and fun challenge? What a great day we had at our summer Lightning Premiership, congratulations to all of our on their positivity and excellent sportsmanship. Cricket... Girls Cricket: The support today was really good, overall everyone did very well, and it’s amazing how much we have approved throughout the season. Zita H Boys Cricket: The highlight today was winning each of our three games and especially the support we gave to each other throughout the day. Jack O Tennis Girls Tennis: The best part today was having fun and watching everyone playing and encouraging each other. Patty D Mixed Tennis: We all encouraged each other when we won a point and we were playing on a big court and it was great when Patty won the point and everyone was clapping and encouraging her. Tommy C Volley Ball Girls Volley Ball: We all had a great time today, the highlight was that we worked together really well and won three out of five games. As a team we improved so much throughout the seasons. - Erica E Boys Volley Ball: Everyone was caring and kept encouraging each other even the other team. We came second overall which was a great result and we almost beat OLA who haven’t lost a game all season. Kayden P T-Ball Girls T-Ball: The highlight today was how well we all worked together even though we didn’t actually win games but more importantly everyone had a wonderful time. Hannah A Boys T-Ball: Our sportsmanship was the best we have had throughout the season. We played four games and won three of them, which meant we were equal with Stella Maris and Cheltenham. It came down to who scored the most runs. Overall we scored the most runs so we were crowned CHAMPIONS! Matthew F
