21.01.2022 This is when we started our food run , clients and friends, would donate food, cloths and baby supplies, Once a month Nanny Noons would identify the most needy and we would make sure they got the supplies , all this stopped when Covid 19 started , so you can imagine the struggle, NOW..... the few that had jobs as house girls for expats have lost their jobs because most of the westerners have been sent home so now their situation is far worst than when we left , Mothers feeling hopeless , babys crying because they are hungry and No money for anything not even Nappies , its desperate And they need our help , so we are thinking of doing like a soup kitchen , one a week to start with . We will keep you updated x

17.01.2022 Beautiful Fiji , slowly pollution is destroying the beautiful beaches these photo’s were taken in Lami , Suva. Out side the tourist bubble . Another project for KHC
16.01.2022 Fijian babies with Impetigo , This skin disease is caused by Staphylocoous or Streptococcus bacteria which as commonly found in the settlements in Fiji due to the humid climate, and living conditions . They are often present on the skin , throat, nose , face and feet . Fijian woman tend to over dress there babies by layering their clothes this could 100% cause this skin problem with a humid climate, and not having what they need to care for their babes as in bath wash , powder , nappies , towels the facility to clean the cloths , linen and towels properly . The first photo is a little 2 years old boy the second was a new born .
15.01.2022 This photo was taken inside one of the housing settlements in Suva, this little shelter houses 1 grandmother , 2 young mums 2 babes and one 6 year old boy There is No running water in this shelter , no washing facilities, no electricity, just one tin hand built shed...... with a piece of old fabric hanging down the middle separating the shelter in two , this family sleep on the floor, eat on the floor on and have NO comforts at all . Our goal is to rebuild these tin shelte...rs one by one with your help providing a more humane standard for families like this young family to live in. In Fiji there is No social security, No welfare support as we know it , No Governement help at all for these lost communities just on going hardship. Fiji is only 3 hours by plane from Australia and one of the most popular holiday locations for Australian’s , the tourist bubble in the west reflects a very different Fiji to the Fiji I know and love . Please help us, help these beautiful people regain their dignity and there hope for a better life . BUY our Coffee To support the KINGSTON HOUSE OF COURAGE
15.01.2022 At the Kingston House of Courage we believe one rescue always leads to the next one , ironically it was Christmas eve my husband was repairing a leaking tin roof, on one of the shelters in one of the settlements at 8 miles , the mother had a special needs son and turned to Kingston House for some much Needed help.. While I was waiting for my husband to finish repairing the roof , I heard a baby crying and like I said it was Xmas eve, I some how got my self an invite into ...the little house next door and within min's this little baby was in my arms, I noticed he was covered in impetigo. The young mother didnt know what it was , and she said the local clinic had given the baby a needle for it. The babies name was Joseph, of all things and yes as I said it was "Christmas Eve" and from what I could gather little joseph had learnt to live with his condition no matter how uncomfortable it was , I said we should talk to my doctor , like allot of Fijian's when you mention Doctor .... WOW they will run for the hills . Anyway I new if i could get this baby on the right medication he would be fine, I told the young girl if she couldn't take him to the doctor then I would take him with Nanny Noons on the Monday , she promised me she would take him and tell the doctor that it was impetigo , they put little Joseph on some Mupirocin cream and with in one week the impetigo was gone, it was seriously miraculous how it just went away so quickly. So many babies have this skin disease and the boil virus in Fiji if we can just get the mothers to take them to the right doctors then these babies wouldn't have to suffer, with these skin conditions and virus's...... education is key here See more
15.01.2022 Please Message Michelle if you would like to help
13.01.2022 Love isnt all you need, as a human being , a warm safe home , a full tummy, health, and a loving Mummy and Daddy Is the best recipe. But sometimes things happen and babies are born into a world with none of the above No Daddy No proper housing... No running water in their shelter No washing or toilet facilities No electricity No basic needs like nappies No job + No Money = No Food This is the demographic we work with young mum’s who are desperate for change . We offer to Train them in a career And help with all the above so there is hope and there is a future. Our goal is to personally create an opportunity for each young mum we work with allowing her to meet the challenges life throws at her as a very you g mum , living in third world conditions in Fiji. Our goal is to identify the needy And bring hope . Our goal is to address change to the invironment and living conditions for the desperately poor in fiji . Help us make a difference
