24.01.2022 Hi KLC Fans, I just heard that it is going to be NUDE GARDENING DAY tomorrow. The foggy conditions we have been experiencing could be an advantage. I might ask the staff at KLC whether they want join in ???? AMc

23.01.2022 THE FIREWOOD SHED IS NOW FULL OF BEAUTIFUL DRY FIREWOOD. DELIVERY AVAILABLE NOW. Hi KLC Fans, please meet our new employee Blake he is our Firewood Moisture Meter Officer, ( FMMO). His job description is simple, he has to seek out dry pieces of wood in the wood shed and then do what male dogs have a tendency to do. I have to admit that there is a family link with Blake. It has taken a while for Blake a good while to find his dream job. Until recently Blake had been banned from KLC because he had a tendency to do what male dogs do in inappropriate places, even inside the building!! The good news is Blake has been very busy in the wood shed.

22.01.2022 Hi KLC Fans, I have started a process by accident, we have customer Ian who lives in Kingston, who has an up hill garden , the hardest I reckon, everything thing has to be manually carried up the bldo hill. We have delivered materials to Ian for many years, he has a very challenging driveway only accessible by the trusty land cruiser. The time had come to fix the drive-way, it has been a pleasure to work and give advice to Ian so that together we will get a result which is cost effective, functional and asthetically pleasing, a win all around. Ian has been taking photos along the way so when it is finished we will show the story. So you have a problem in your garden that you have been grappling with for years, leave a comment and we will select one job each month to see if we cannot sought it out. Cheers The KLC Team

21.01.2022 Dear KLC Fans, I would like to introduce you to Mr Groth and Princess, also know. as boofhead. They share a house in beautiful Woodbridge. KLC has delivered firewood to Mr Groth and Princess Boofhead for years, this is the present load of wood which we delivered yesterday. Princess Boofhead has most certainly fallen in a good paddock. This load was a bit extra as Princess Boofhead is starting to feel the cold in her advancing years. Life is so simple down in Woodbridge, just man and Princess Boofhead !!! Regards The KLC Team.

14.01.2022 Hi KLC Fans, the McRae family lived on Maria Island from 1898 to 1936. My great grandfather Hector and his wife Fanny ran sheep on a farm called Kintail at Chinamans Bay, they had five children including my grandfather Duncan. The photos show an American Jack sailing boat built by my great Uncle Alec, who married Vega the daughter of the famous Maria Island entrepreneur Benachii. Alec built the boats to take to Hobart to whip the city slickers. The house is New Kintail, an American kit home built by Alec at Chinamans Bay. Cheers AMc

13.01.2022 It is with deep regret and sadness I convey the news of the passing of Brian Mansell. Over the last eight years I was fortunate to meet and get to know Brian as a customer of KLC. The Brian I new was a humble, self deprecating, a proud Tasmanian Aboriginal man who deeply loved his people and his country As our relationship was based around KLC, and Brians visits were sporadic dependent on his need for garden products, I had not noticed he had stopped coming in. I attended a l...aunch for Vica Bailey’s campaign office launch at Kingston Beach. Heather Sculthorpe, Brians sister in law, the head of the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre, attended. After the event concluded I approached Heather and asked her to pass on best wishes to Brian, she replied that would not be possible as Brian had passed away in November. My uncontrolled grief since then is a measureof the wonderful human being that Brian Mansell was. RIP Brian, you will be deeply missed.
