25.01.2022 Well done to all our Kingston seniors who represented the club this weekend! What a fantastic result for the club! 2nd in the handicap and 5th overall!! A BIG thank you to Maddy McBride for all the time, effort and dedication she has put in this season in supporting our young people to get their feet on the line. A true asset to the club.

24.01.2022 NO NIPPERS THIS SUNDAY A reminder to families that our normal Sunday nippers session is NOT on this Sunday due to the Burnie carnival. Lots of our nippers are competing this weekend and many of our dedicated volunteers are up north assisting as well. All the best to the team! We will see you back on the beach on 17th Jan.



23.01.2022 How’s the serenity here Our senior camp is off to a magnificent start up at Douglas River, Bicheno. Our seniors have had lots of training in the surf, moments to reflect on their busy Summer and so many opportunities to connect and catch up. A big thanks to our president Danielle Campbell and our head coach Maddy McBride for making this weekend possible

21.01.2022 Oh wow! What a big day for the club! It was great to showcase our Nippers program today at our annual open day. A big welcome to all our new nippers and their families- we had a blast on the beach with you all and loved seeing so many happy faces on the sand. The fun & games continued into the afternoon as well with our Bronze and SRC participants getting into the water and practicing their water rescues in preparation for their upcoming assessment.

20.01.2022 40 YEARS OF WOMEN IN SURF We had all seasons in the space of five hours today but it was so special to celebrate forty years of women in lifesaving by having all generations represented on the beach today! Our all female patrols were staggered throughout the day to meet Covid regulations but we could not resist getting a photo of all our happy members. A big shout out to Meg Webb - Independent for Nelson for supporting our fancy feast for all our females- the punch was a favourite!

16.01.2022 Our annual Australia Day ocean swim will be running this year and we are now taking registrations for this popular event. As part of the Tasmanian Ocean Swim Series , this event is always a popular one on the calendar. The Australia Day celebrations will not be going ahead on the beach this year due to COVID restrictions but our swim is still going ahead with a COVID safe plan in place for the race. Registrations are capped so get in early to claim your spot! No late e...ntries will be taken on the day. 10.01.2022 Our Bronze Medallion and SRC training is fully underway with 25 members starting their training last night. They looked at beach signals, CPR and the importance of beach safety for the community.

09.01.2022 Hey Kingborough! Check out our newly qualified lifesavers Assessed for their awards on Saturday, this group is made up of new Surf Rescue Certificate holders and Bronze Medallion recipients. It has been an intensive four weeks for the group but we are so proud of them all for making it through and learning lifesaving skills. ... A big thanks to Ned from Clifton Beach Surf Life Saving Club for coming down and assisting with assessing and to all the trainers who supported the course. See you on the beach!

A big thank you to all our amazing patrolling members for all their hard efforts over the Summer. We hope to see you all back on the beach in 2021/2022. 05.01.2022 We are proud to be ambassadors of the Derwent Estuary Program this Summer and we are committed to helping the Kingborough community AVOID having THIS SIGN up at local swimming spots!! What can you do to help? Pick up after your dog. Don’t feed the ducks and geese.... Avoid disposing of paint in your drains Be aware of where and when you swim. Avoid swimming in the Derwent estuary for two days after heavy rain (>10 mm of rain over a 24 hour period) #voicesofthederwent

04.01.2022 Patrols at Kingston Beach begin this weekend! Our patrol teams will be keeping the community safe every Saturday, Sunday & public holiday from Dec 1st-March 31st. Our patrol times are 12pm-5pm. We will also be providing an outpost patrol to Blackmans Bay beach this season so you will see our lifesaving members walking that beach this Summer ... A big thank you to all the keen ocean swimmers that come down this morning and participated in our annual Beach2Beach Ocean Swim as part of the Tasmanian Ocean Swim Series. We had record numbers for the event, with 111 of you putting your feet on the line and taking the leap.
