02.01.2022 A letter from our Principal, Mr Cowley: Dear Parents and caregivers, Please note that due to the QLD State Government imposed three-day lockdown, Kingston State School will be closed for the next three days. ... Our school will remain open for children of essential workers only and for our most vulnerable children. All other children are to remain at home, with their families for the next three days. Both the Director General of Education and the Queensland Teachers’ Union have defined Essential Workers as those who have to leave their home to attend their place of work. If you are working from home, or an adult in your household is working from home, the expectation is that your child(ren) will remain home and not attend school. This direction is designed to minimise movement and maintain high levels of isolation to help limit the spread of COVID-19. There is no expectation to continue learning on-line. The work that the children will be doing at school is NOT their regular school work, no children will miss out on any learning here at school. School photos will be re-scheduled for later next term we will let you know when this will take place when a time becomes available. You are still able to pay, or you can wait until closer to the new photo time. The Easter raffle is postponed, we will draw this after the holidays. Year 4 swimming has been postponed, this will be re-scheduled next term. This year’s Easter Bonnet parade is cancelled. It is anticipated that there will be very few children attending school over the next three days, as the vast majority of our students have the capacity to remain at home with their parents or carers. Please remain connected to our school’s social media pages for further updates. I wish all of our families a safe end to the term and hopefully you are able to have a lock-down free Easter weekend and holiday.

02.01.2022 Congratulations to our year 6s on your Graduation today! We wish you all the best for the future! You should be so proud of all that you have achieved!
