17.01.2022 Hi Guys! Just a quick update! DHHS are receiving a lot of complaints from not only dog groomers but dog owners who are desperate to have their pooches grooming ...needs met. Their legal team are assessing the matter and they have said that the more people who make a complaint, the better it will assist with the Government reviewing this as serious on the basis of animal cruelty. You can find the complaint section on the DHHS website if you’d like to contribute. That being said, based upon the current road map, we will not open before 26th October. I am going to start the process of rescheduling all appointments in order of who was booked in from the 17th of September, and if by miracle we can reopen sooner we’ll just bring everyone forward. With just over 500 pre booked appointments it’s going to take me a few days so please bare with me and I’ll get your new appointment times to you all ASAP. Thanks for all your support and if there’s anything I can help you with in assisting you to groom at home please just reach out! Cassie See more

14.01.2022 When heading to the beach this summer don't forget your dogs water. Beach water when ingested can cause salt poisoning and lead to "beach diarrhoea", vomiting, dehydration and seizures.
13.01.2022 Happy Vet Nurse Day Today we celebrate all the wonderful work our vet nurses do here at Kingston Vets. Whether its that cheeky cuddle they sneak in with your pet to make them feel safe, that bright smile they always seem to have on their faces or even when they clean up after fluffy after his accident in reception. We just don't know what we would do without them. Enjoy your day ladies and know that we all appreciate you.
12.01.2022 Meet a staff members fur babies Today we are meeting nurse Jades family of pets. Pancake aka panky or spankypank... A little bit of a scaredy cat, she loves hidey holes and is a lover of handbags, shopping bags and boxes. Pancake is a fiend for zylkene, feliway, catnip and sunshine. Chakra aka Shark She always has a lot to say, and likes to be included in activities. Shark cares for her toys. Her favorites being hedgehog, pizza, pusheen and a white whale. She carries them around the house leaving them near food, windows or kitty litter. She gives good massages, however needs to use more pressure, less nails. She farts if you pick her up, I do not recommend this. You can sometimes find her sitting on the KVH reception desk. She may lick you if you try to pat her. Valerie aka Val or Valerina A long term foster while her forever home is getting ready. Valerie enjoys being moved around in things like baskets and toy cars. She is a very good bug hunter and shark then eats them. She always comes running when her name is called and her favourite place to sit is in front of the fireplace. Peachy Siamese fighting fish 7m old. Thinks every time is food time. Likes eating snails. Has lots of fish friends. Frogs Goldie and Marsha the spotted Marsh frogs. Cutie, Ugg, Baby and Mini the brown tree frogs. Overall are pretty boring. Cutie is the most active frog and is easiest to find in the enclosure.
12.01.2022 Not only is chocolate toxic to our pets, but their wrappings can be a potential hazard too! Please keep chocolate and chocolate wrappings away from paws. If you think your pet has ingested something they shouldn't have, please contact a vet immediately.
11.01.2022 Meet a staff members fur babies Today we are meeting Nurse Madi's furless bunch. Cadejo (ka-day-oe)... A Xoloitzcuintle (Mexican hairless) What he lacks in hair he makes up for in character. If he's not playing with his animal friends, he is often bounding into the arms of a human for big cuddle. Spyro Sphynx Cat (Hairless) Spy loves 3 things - food, warmth and Madi! You can usually find Spyro sunbaking or snuggled into the warm bed you just got out of. If you still can't find him, open the pantry and he will magically appear. He's favourite foods to steal are beans and cantaloupe. He's recently become addicted to catnip thanks to Jade's cats. Toothless the Python This adorable little nope-rope is also hairless. She eats once a fortnight and likes to sleep in the warmest spot. Toothy and Jade's cat Valerie are best buds and touch noses most nights through the air vent in her enclosure. Cynda Domestic medium hair The latest addition to the family is a little rescue kitten, who surprisingly for Madi has hair!! He is still a tiny little button and loves cuddles with his mum, playing with his litter mates and eating
09.01.2022 Meet a staff members fur babies Today we are meeting the newest addition to our vet team Dr Siobhans 2 gorgeous kitties. Waffles is a 4 year old Maine Coon, and is the sweetest and most gentle cat you’ll ever meet. She spends her days napping in any box she can find, begging for chicken or fish when she sniffs some out in the kitchen and playing with her favourite toy ‘Da Bird’. She will also hunt down any spider or fly in the house (and eat them ). ... Winston is a 1 year old Burmese, and is a dog in a cats body! He loves fetching his ball toys, sneaking whatever food he can find and napping on peoples laps. He’s a lot cheekier/naughtier than his sister, but also a lot more affectionate

07.01.2022 Happy New Year’s Eve animal lovers! While fireworks are exciting for humans, they are terrifying for animals, so it’s important to consider our furry friends tonight. Protect your pets from the loud noises by keeping them inside in a safe place, keeping them calm and making sure they have access to lots of water. A game or two to distract them will help too.
