09.01.2022 It was delayed but the Sporties Awards Night went off in style on Sat as we all came together to celebrate the season that was. It's been a long time coming but the Sporties Life Members honour board was displayed for the first time as we welcomed 5 Sportie legends as the inaugural members: John Crawfurd Snr Shane Paterson... Richard King Andrew Griffin Michael Dargie Each of the above have payed a huge part in Kingsway's history and where it has come from almost 50 years ago. If you haven't had a chance to sit down and share a beer with one of these blokes, do yourself a favour and have a chat. They've got some cracking stories about the club and will have you in stitches. We'd like to congratulate not just the award winners but every player, supporter and sponsor who contributed to KSCC throughout the 2019/20 season. It was a fantastic effort from everyone involved with the club and I'm sure we're all keen to get out and begin the new season this coming saturday.

08.01.2022 A reminder, tomorrow night (10th October) is the Kingsway Sportsmans CC Awards night. We're one week out from the start of the new season and what better way to start it than with a celebration of 2019/20 and a few beers with your mates. More details can be found on the event page below. We hope to see you all there. https://www.facebook.com/events/309426040326434?acontext=%7B%22action_history%22%3A[%7B%22surface%22%3A%22page%22%2C%22mechanism%22%3A%22page_admin_bar%22%2C%22extra_data%22%3A%22%7B%5C%22page_id%5C%22%3A276105276270599%7D%22%7D%2C%7B%22surface%22%3A%22events_admin_tool%22%2C%22mechanism%22%3A%22events_admin_tool%22%2C%22extra_data%22%3A%22[]%22%7D]%2C%22has_source%22%3Atrue%7D

03.01.2022 B Grade vs Osborne Park: Bowling first, the boys were happy to see a bandaged up Adam Bailey (4/32 off 15) with the new ball taking early wickets. Avoiding getting KO'd this week, he bowled with the pace and fire that sparks the line up. Ossie Park were putting up a fight however and managing to keep the run rate moving. Luke Buddah Nimmett (3/43 off 13) bowled his usual line and length while the Honey Badger Benny Ryan (3/42 off 10) was also damaging picking up the remaining...Continue reading

02.01.2022 The first Sporties Cup was won last season by Daryl Quartermaine with only half a point separating Elliot Hill and Dave Wright in second and third respectively. We had just short of 30 sides competing for the prize money/fantasy glory in 2019/20 and we're happy to announce we'll be going around again for the 2020/21 season. This year we've upgraded the Sporties Cup from our spreadsheets to an actual website where coaches can log in and check their progress/edit their teams wh...enever they like. Coaches will have trades, captaincy choices and player price changes on a weekly basis so there'll be plenty to keep you interested. All you need to do is head to https://kingsway-sportsmans.fantasyclubcricket.co.uk/ and sign up to play. If you'd like to be in with a chance of winning some cash, we gave away over $400 last season to various winners. The entry fee remains the same this season ($20) and will be due before the start of Rd 2 (Sat 31st October). Entry fees can be paid to the club bank account (below) or in person to John Crawfurd. Good luck coaches and may you choose your teams wisely. Acc Name: Kingsway Sportsmans CC Acc Number: 1065 1057 BSB: 066132

02.01.2022 The fantasy season is in full swing and there have been a few big scores. None have been better than Gary Clarke's mammoth 405pts as he put on a clinic this round, proving he's not just a bowler but an all round machine. Adam Bailey is in 46% of teams and didn't disappoint his many coaches with 147pts to be the second best bowler after two rounds. The batsman have underwhelmed so far but club stalwart Darren Chapman continues to rack up the runs for 114pts and top spot among...st batsman. Jake shaw didn't manage a hit in the second round but remains in second place amongst bats. The resurgent John Crawfurd has scored big early to lead the way for all rounders at 275pts. Brett Riley is steadily rising with 86pts in Rd 2 to be the next best but injuries may halt his run. Glenn Smidt has taken a narrow lead over the rest of the keepers thanks to some red ink on the weekend. His 113pts give him the edge over Brodie McGhie on 109pts who will struggle to get on the park for a couple of games with a shoulder injury. All scores and teams can be viewed at the link below. Don't forget coaches, you get 1 free trade each round with every additional trade deducting 20pts from your team. Choose your side wisely! The first of the wildcard rounds is a week away (Rd 4) so shore up your side now to be the highest scoring and win some prize money. For those who have not yet paid but indicated they will, could you please do so asap. Get in touch with John Crawfurd and he'll sort you out. Good luck all! https://kingsway-sportsmans.fantasyclubcricket.co.uk/

01.01.2022 B Grade vs Warwick-Greenwood: Finally back at it, the top side won the toss and elected to have a hit against a strong Warwick line up. A couple of early wickets didn't slow the good T20 form shown by Adam Ballucci (32) who batted with ease. Joining Booch for a strong partnership was Brodie Mcghie (56) on B Grade debut for the club. It's been a rough few months for Brodie and he enjoyed getting back out and whacking bowlers all over the park with a blistering fifty. Unfortuna...Continue reading
