20.01.2022 On Sunday 2 August the Victorian Government declared a ‘state of disaster’ and announced that metropolitan Melbourne will head into Stage Four restrictions from 6.00pm Sunday 2 August. Kingswim centres in Victoria therefore remain closed until further notice. Stage Four restrictions mean:... Only one person per household may leave the house to shop for essential items within 5km of home You may complete one hour of daily exercise within 5km of home with only one other person A curfew from 8pm 5am is in place where you may only leave the home to give or receive care or to go to/from work. We know this is disappointing and truly miss seeing you in centre. But the government is making decisions with the best interests of our community in mind, and we must all work together to reduce the spread. To find out more about COVID-19, please visit the DHHS website (www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavirus). We will provide further information as new information comes to light. Kingswim would like to pass on our best wishes to all families at this time.

20.01.2022 Fun Fact Friday! - Did you know elephants like to swim? Like most other mammals, elephants are natural-born swimmers. They can swim completely submerged underwater, using their trunks to breathe. If they do get tired, the elephants' massive bodies allow them to easily float and rest. It's nearly impossible for them to drown! #kingswim #funfact #swimming

16.01.2022 As you will be aware, the Victorian State Government announced its ‘Coronavirus (COVID-19) roadmap to reopening’ on Sunday 6 September. Over the past two weeks, Kingswim has been working with the Government and industry partners to understand how this roadmap affects our families in Victoria, and what date we can re-open our centres. We are currently seeking clarification on whether we are able to open as a part of the ‘Third Step’ in this roadmap, or the ‘Last Step’.... Depending on this, the earliest opportunity Kingswim could re-open our centres would be either 26 October or 23 November 2020. These dates would be subject to relevant ‘trigger points’ being met, outlined by the Victorian Government and relate to average daily case numbers. As always, the health and safety of our families, staff, and the community remains the number one priority at Kingswim. All decisions made regarding the re-opening of our centres will continue to be made in line with Government restrictions, and with the health and safety of all in mind. Please check your email inbox for full details or our website https://www.kingswim.com.au/covid As we once again prepare to re-open our centres in Victoria, we ask families who are interested in returning to please fill in the form on this link https://bit.ly/2FO8E3C. This will help us gain an understanding of program numbers as we look to manage capacity restrictions under Government guidelines. For those who filled in this form in June, you are not required to fill it in again and if there are any changes to your return to swimming, just let us know. For any questions, please contact our Customer Care Team or email [email protected]. Please note our phone lines may be busier than normal. We wish to thank all of our families for their continued co-operation and understanding during this challenging time.

15.01.2022 IMPORTANT UPDATE We intended to open all of our Kingswim centres in Victoria from Monday 13 July for Learn to Swim programs. Unfortunately, the most recent announcement from the Victorian Government re-imposing ‘stage 3’ restrictions across Melbourne from midnight 8 July means centres will remain closed.... We will not be running the last two days of our Fast Track programs and our Learn to Swim programs will not resume as previously planned at the beginning of Term 3. Please check your email inbox for full details or our website https://www.kingswim.com.au/covid For any questions, please contact our Customer Care Team or email [email protected]. Please note our phone lines may be busier than normal. We wish to thank all of our families for their continued co-operation and understanding during this challenging time.

15.01.2022 An update from our Customer Care Team: From Tuesday 21 July, our Customer Care Team, based in Victoria, will be working remotely from home. All calls and enquiries will be directed through to this team, to ensure that our staff in centres can focus on running our programs and maintaining new safety measures put in place. While you can still contact us via phone, it may take a little longer to get through to us due to these changes. We ask for your patience as our team adapts ...to this new way of working. When speaking with our team over the phone, there may also be background noises that come with working from home, including furry friends or little ones. To help us get to all family enquiries as soon as possible, we ask families to email us at [email protected]. If required, our team will be able to call you to assist with your enquiry. We appreciate all our families' support and understanding during this time!
