25.01.2022 The students really enjoyed peer reading today. The buddies are getting along so well and the senior students encourage the stage 1 students and make them feel confident to read. I hope you enjoy this little glimpse of peer reading.

23.01.2022 Each Friday in term 4, students across K-6 will be participating in Dance2bfit. Dance2bfit is an energetic, innovative and fun way to get fit with the latest dance styles. Please ensure your child has a drink bottle.

23.01.2022 For Working Mathematical Wednesday Abel from KM explained how to share items between groups and that the most important thing is to ensure that groups are equal. Emelia and Bradley from S1T have been looking at patterns. They explained how to make increasing and decreasing patterns and the meaning of those words. Leilani & Hugo from S1C shared their knowledge about number patterns. Thank you for sharing your mathematical thinking .

22.01.2022 No hat, no play As the weather warms up it is important that students remember to bring a hat to school in order to play at lunch and recess time Students who do not have a hat will be asked to sit on a silver seat in Area B.

20.01.2022 Stage 2 had a great time on their excursion to Penrith Lakes Environmental Education Centre yesterday. They participated in numerous activities such as water testing, bird observations, dipnetting and examining features and characteristics of places and the environment.

09.01.2022 This Friday will be our second PBL assembly for Term 3. If your child has achieved Bronze, Silver and have maintained the criteria, they will be eligible to receive their Gold Award. Students will be conferencing with their teachers this week to discuss their achievement of the criteria. We look forward to celebrating the students who have worked hard to receive their gold badge

08.01.2022 For the last Morphemic Monday of Term 3, Amelia from KM shared the meaning of the word ‘predator’. Meaning ‘an animal that naturally hunts others’. Abbey and Anna from S1C shared the dual meanings of the word ‘live’. They also shared the various suffixes. Well done word detectives .

08.01.2022 Another fantastic project sharing event with students sharing information from various topics. Kingswood Park learnt about the lifestyle of bees, Aboriginal culture, Pakistan, seashells and more! Students were engaged, having great discussions with each other and took away some valuable knowledge and inquiry questions that they can investigate further themselves. Great job!

05.01.2022 Today was the last K-2 Working Mathematical Wednesday for term 3! Alerah from KM explained that division means to share and that the most important part is to share items one at a time. Jayden & Astrid from S1T have been exploring Volume and Capacity. They shared that they used water to measure volume, they measured the volume by comparing, counting and displacement. Oscar and Brooklyn from S1C explained how their class has been looking at number patterns and how they have been whisper counting to help them find different patterns. Well done to KM, S1C & S1T for a fantastic term full of math.

05.01.2022 Our preschoolers celebrated finishing our first full term together by having a movie day in our pyjamas. Yes! Even the teachers came in their pyjamas too We played musical chairs before watching Toy Story (Possum class) and The Lion King (Wombat class), and ate popcorn. Afterwards we went outside in the sun to have some ice cream with sprinkles. A special mention to Rushank’s family for bringing in yummy fruit for our preschoolers to munch on too. What a wonderful way to spend our last day together before school holidays

04.01.2022 As part of Kindergartens term 3 science unit 'The Bridge and Beyond', students read the book 'The 3 Billy Goats Gruff'. They were challenged with the task to make a play dough billy goat and design and make a bridge strong enough to sustain the weight of their play dough billy goats. Students drew their design and explored a variety of materials to decide which suited their design and would hold the weight of their billy goats. Some were more successful than others however, as usual, lots of fun was had!

01.01.2022 Today our student leadership team visited all our classrooms from Preschool to Stage 3 to ask our students what makes our school great and what we might improve. They then shared these ideas with Mrs Snell to help inform our next school plan. Mrs Snell is looking forward to asking our parents and community these questions too.
