25.01.2022 Incredible shots of two of Cheshunt's popular spots - Paradise Falls and Powers lookout. Paradise Falls is located in the Alpine National park outside of Ches...hunt. The last 11 kms to the falls is gravel but in good condition so is accessible with 2WD. There are picnic facilities at the car park so pack a lunch or grab some fare from nearby Whitfield and enjoy the peacful park. The walk to the viewing platform is a well made stepped track perfect for all ability levels and is about 500m in length. True to its name...the place is paradise! Powers lookout provides two lookout points both with sweeping views of the surrounding mountain and valley landscape. The first lookout has wheelchair access. A short walk (0.4kilometre) with a series of ladders takes you to a viewing platform at the northern most point of the rocky outcrop. It is easy to imagine why Power chose this site for a hideout! 22.01.2022 Powers Lookout If you plan on visiting us (whether it is this weekend or next year) this is an activity not to leave undone. Power's Lookout offers an excelle...nt vantage point and was once the haunt of the 'Gentlemen Bushranger' Harry Power. From the main road it is a 3km trip along a gravel road to reach the lookout that offers spectacular views over the Wobonga Plateau and Mt Cobbler to the southeast. Be sure to discover both walking tracks at Powers Lookout. There's also picnic tables and wood fireplaces at the lookout so why not bring along a picnic and enjoy an afternoon overlooking the valley.
