A recommendation from Sue Whisked away for my wonderful 25th Wedding Anniversary surprise, after being locked down in ...2020, it is was time to escape the city and relax in rural Victoria on this hassle-free King Valley Wine tour. We visited the best of the regions wineries, handpicked by our Personal Guide and sampled some of the most premium wines in the area. The experience was made so personal by our guide Karen Barber, nothing was any trouble from the initial contact, making the booking to finding us beautiful accommodation. Karen went over and above to make sure that we all had the most memorable experience and offered us real value for money. The little touches like the cold water in the vehicle, the comfort of the vehicle and her advice in making sure we fill up on breakfast before our tour begun! Our winery tour tastings included Dal Zotto Wines, Pizzini Wines, Darling Estate Wines, King River Estate and the wonderful Chrismont Celler Door, Restaurant & Larder for lunch. Sweeping views of the King Valley and menus that would make any foodie go weak at the knees! Our taste buds were both singing and dancing with every bite & sip. A must visit when you are in the area is Ross and Leanne’s King Valley Fine Foods, who lovingly create, manufacture and package all their own pestos, tapenades, pasta sauces, chutneys, relishes, mayonnaise, dips, vinaigrettes, reductions and glazes. They prepare their selection with passion and pride for the locally sourced produce and ingredients.
