16.01.2022 The Victoria Cross (VC) is the highest military decoration for gallantry and valour in the face of the enemy awarded to British and Commonwealth servicemen and ...women Through the generous donations of members of the public, the Victoria Cross Trust works tirelessly to ensure that the memory and graves of these brave souls many of whom gave their lives in military conflict across the world are proudly remembered and diligently maintained. For more information on how you can help the Trust with its important duties, visit their website victoriacrosstrust.org At least 64 #Freemasons received the VC during WWI, and commemorative paving stones were laid outside Freemasons' Hall earlier this year to honour their memory. Included here are some photos of the ceremony, which was attended by the Grand Master HRH The Duke of Kent. We will remember them. #VictoriaCross #VictoriaCrossTrust Commonwealth War Graves Commission #Freemasonry #VCpavingstones Victoria Cross and George Cross Association #UGLE2017

14.01.2022 A great afternoon and evening at Lord Dufferin Lodge No 48 in Gympie. VW Bro Adan Taylor was placed in the Chair of KS by his father VW Bro Geoff Taylor. This i...s Adan's 3rd time in the Chair. Lord Dufferin is an old Irish Heritage Lodge formed in 1886 and maintains some of those traditions. It was great ceremony with a very unusual highlight. Bro Jason Smith, who was invested as SW, performed the Solo on his trusty Ibanez electric and Marshall 100w amp (not turned up to 11). The musical choice was most apt - Brothers in Arms by Dire Straits. (Jason obviously took his gloves off to play).

01.01.2022 Motorcyclist’s Lodge No. 9939 is consecrated. Friday 12th May 2017 saw the consecration of the Motorcyclist’s Lodge. The event was held at the Novotel, Southamp...ton and over 200 freemasons, some arriving on motorbikes, attended. The Motorcyclist’s Lodge, which will meet in Farnborough will combine freemasonry with the love of motorcycling, by holding a lodge meeting followed by a ride-out to various locations around the province, weather conditions permitting! It is the sixth specialist lodge formed in the last five years under the leadership of the Provincial Grand Master, Mike Wilks. The others are a scouting lodge, rugby lodge, motorsports lodge, football lodge and sailing lodge. Its first master, Paul Haynes, said: As a keen motorcyclist, I am looking forward to recruiting new members to the Lodge and sharing experiences with fellow biking enthusiasts.
