23.01.2022 It definitely feels like deep winter round here. The sun is getting up late and going to bed early. Hanging low in the sky just above the tree line. But somehow, the veg still grows! And if it grows, we’ll bring it to market! So we’ll see you in the morning 8:30-1pm at the @torquayfarmersmarket ! PLEASE NOTE we will be observing strict physical distancing, hand hygiene and only taking card payments. We will also be wearing masks, which will feel a bit weird but safer for us. 13.01.2022 A sentimental scene! We have been feeling the absence from the best farmers market in the land so we’ve decided to make our return, in two weeks time! The online shop will be indefinitely closed from now on as we take this week off for a bit of r & r and prepare to return to the @torquayfarmersmarket with a bang, next Saturday 30th. Thank you to all who have supported us over the past few weeks by purchasing a box. It has been a very heart warming and validating time for us... with the continued support from our community but we are excited to get back to some sense of normality. See you in two weeks ! 10.01.2022 Today was our last harvest day for a little while, folks and what a glorious day it was We chopped the top of crops like rainbow chard and silverbeet and dug up the last of the over wintered carrots clearing our beds for spring bed prep starting now (don’t quite feel ready to start talking spring talk but there, I said it...) 05.01.2022 Hello new veg! We’ve been holding tight since Jan when we planted these beauties. The first of our autumn brassicas! This purpley/pink Chinese cabbage is a treat in salads, stir-fries or kimchi if you’re feeling game. There’ll be a small pile up for grabs tomorrow amongst our usual seasonal bounty. Unfortunately there is a glitch in the system that we havnt been able to fix, as yet so we’ve decided to delay the opening of the shop until next week - depending of course on whether the glitch will be fixed in time!
