20.01.2022 Congratulations to our newest international competitor! Finlay has been selected to represent Australia in the +76kg Junior division at the Oceania Championships to be held in Auckland on 18-20 May this year. How amazing to see Finlay reach this level in such a short time. All his hard work (and dad’s) is really paying off now. All the best from all of us, Finlay!

Congratulations to both Kate and Angus on being selected for the NSW team events - no mean feat in itself! Alex didn’t win his fight, but showed clear and massive improvement from last year. He also won his first round of kata at national l...evel. Annalise competed in individual kumite for the first time at national level and won a bronze medal in the U21 -55kg division and also won her first round of kata in U21s. Finlay continued his great form and won a bronze medal in the 16-17yrs +76kg kumite. Sensei Suzie won gold in the +45yrs kumite for the second year in a row. Sensei Frank gained his National Referee level A licence, which is the highest level able to be achieved in Australia. We’ll be waiting to see if Sensei Frank starts heading overseas to achieve the next level! Huge thanks also to Donna, Andrea and Mike, who tirelessly give up their time in volunteer roles at tournament after tournament. See more

05.01.2022 Congratulations to Rhys and Matilda on passing their shodan exam this evening!

03.01.2022 Kintora kicked it at the Nationals woohoo! 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze from our club! Well done to Annalise, Kate, Angus, Ben, Finlay, Asha, Alex and Suzie. The sad part about competing myself is that I don't get to see all my students in their bouts, but everyone represented our state and our club with pride. Well done, guys! Who's coming to Caloundra next year? :)
