25.01.2022 Sheesh. Lockdown 3.0! I have added on an extra Emergency Evening Shift Tonight & will be staying back all this evening (12th Feb 2021) in an attempt to keep my waiting list under control. 23.01.2022 Treating the crows feet improves the appearance of your photographs. The ring of muscle (orbicularis oculi) surrounding both eyes are precisely relaxed so they do not squint and tighten up when you smile. In this photo you can see myself with completely untreated crows feet. The eyes have tightened and become very small. Even worse the lines at the corner of my eye are no longer a twinkle but more of a starburst. They extend all the way back to my ear and then for an encore f...ollow the contours of my cheeks and join up with my mouth lines. Nice! In contrast Dr Grace has about 120 units onboard. Her crows feet are definitely treated! (along with her masseters, her glabellar, her frontalis, depressor anguli oris muscle and platysmal bands). Her eyes are much more open, engaging and it is just a nicer smile. Admittedly it is not all cosmetic injections. Dr Grace did start off with vastly more photogenic features anyway. 09.01.2022 Dr Grace's oldest son is escorted to his first day of High School by his 3 siblings & his dedicated Mum! He was born in the same hectic year Kiora became Allergan's fastest growing clinic. It seems like only yesterday our indomitable Dr Grace worked at Kiora right up till 48hrs before his birth and then returned to us only 12 weeks after his birth. 02.01.2022 Home-made lamingtons were a bit of an Australia Day Tradition in my family. I spent a decent chunk of my childhood growing up on a farm in a small country town just outside Kingaroy and the lamingtons my mum made with our own homegrown eggs would turn out the most beautiful yellow-golden sponge colour. The other ladies at the P&F would accuse her of using yellow food dye! Our 4 kids are pretty much total city slickers so the lamingtons (a rather weak pale white colour even wh...en using the best organic eggs) need to be dressed up with Jam and Cream to entice them! 02.01.2022 We are back, we have caught up on our waiting list (again) & we are still standing ready for Round 3. The entire Kiora team is ready to help Melbourne de-stress and see us all home safely for the homestretch of this extraordinary pandemic. We have finally reintroduced magazines. My Dad was a bit notorious for stocking his Clinic's Waiting Room with daggy 30yo National Geographic Magazines & photos of his beloved daughters (but not sons!) so I've always personally made sure K...iora stays more on trend. Things are cautiously returning to normal & our waiting room is again stocked with the latest Magazines from Vogue & Marie Claire. Unfortunately, Kiora has outlasted both InStyle & Women's Health Magazines (R.I.P.) as both have ceased publication. We were very sad to hear they were one of the first casualties of 2020. 01.01.2022 The hardest area to treat with Cosmetic Injections is the forehead. The forehead wrinkles have to be softened "just enough" so deep furrows do not form whilst natural expression is preserved. To get this minimal dosage of anti-wrinkle injections correct (often only $67) it is important your Doctor observes & documents your natural facial expressions so they can be modulated naturally. Post lockdown many of my patients, many of whom I had been treating longer than 15 years, ha...d to come back for a free "fine tune" after their cosmetic injections wore off far faster than usual. My working hypothesis is the Age of the Never-Ending-Mask has resulted in many people changing their facial expressions & using their forehead muscles 3 times more than usual. It is the only part of the face people can see after all! Many of my patients have increased their dosage in this area by over 50%.
