01.01.2022 We will have shorter hours in store today at Kiozwi. 11 am to 3 pm (If we can get through to then. We were Closed yesterday because we had to say goodbye to our Kiozwi Cat - Merlin. So many regulars would hear about him so only fitting we let you all know ... Merlin - 2015 to 2021 Anthony and I had to say goodbye to our little grey Wizard / Unicorn Kitty today. We are totally heartbroken and devastated, even though we knew this would happen one day ... Merlin had been unwell for just over a year and half with an extremely rare, genetic heart condition, which he was treated for monthly. When we first found out in September 2019, we thought we would only have 1 week to 1 month and with our help and the amazing Team at Advanced Vet care in Kensington, Merlin fought all odds and made an impact far beyond just Anthony and I ... We are so grateful to, and thinking of the Advanced Vet Care team, who referred to Merlin as a V.I.P at the clinic and would often say, Oh, Everyone knows Merlin (Especially Lydia, Amanda, Sarah and Lana, just to name a few) @advancedvetcareaus To honor his memory as best we can we requested and have allowed the Team who have helped us along the way to conduct a postmortem/autopsy so they can gain valuable information regarding his condition with the hope that it can help other small animals and their owners in the future. This will also allow Lydia to continue her research into this rare condition. Merlin will also be missed by his two Brothers Zeus and Jupiter and they will be receiving extra love and cuddles as we know .
