23.01.2022 The pedi pole is such a beautiful piece of equipment that I find is super beneficial for so many people Knee bends and centering are both gorgeous exercise that lengthens the spine. In fact they are great exercises for someone who has a lordosis. As you bend your knees the focus is on scooping your tummy muscles in so deeply that your lower back lengthens against the pole. 23.01.2022 Reverse Monkey This is one of my favourite ways to stretch it out on the cadi! This gorgeous exercise stretches the back and the hamstrings. It also strengthen the powerhouse and works your C-curve It looks deceptively easy to move the bar up and down. But, it takes a lot of control from the powerhouse. I think of scooping back deeply with my lower abs. 13.01.2022 I thigh stretch on the cadi! It is such a great exercise to stretch the front of the thighs and hips. It also works the back extensors and stretches the chest and front of the shoulders. For someone who is naturally lordotic, like me, it is a challenge to hold a good kneeling position. The goal is to keep your hips pointing straight forward and your tailbone lengthening down. To do this think of scooping in so deeply that you feel like both your thoracic and lumber spine ...are in a flexion. Aim to have your shoulders, hips and knees stacked on top of each other. As you lengthen back think of your knees reaching down as your inner thighs and lower belly lift to initiate the hinge back. I like to imagine my pelvis being held up by an imaginary hammock as I lengthen back to keep the hips lifted/suspended in the air.
