24.01.2022 Swim school closures across Australia, and parents losing jobs have impacted some children’s ability to learn how to swim and be safer around water this summer. Our friends at Swim Australia are raising funds to donate swimming lessons to kids who’s parents can’t afford lessons this year. Kirby Swim will be donating $500 from each location to this fabulous cause.... 15.01.2022 The October Nappy Drive starts today! Please drop any packages of nappies that you don't need anymore to us this week and next! With almost 1 in 5 children under 5 without enough nappies in Australia, we are calling on our community to help support local babies in need throughout October. From today until the end of October, load up your car or bike with disposable nappies and drop direct to us for collection. The Nappy Collective estimates that 280,000 Australian children ...across 150,000 families experience nappy stress. Nappy stress is driven by lack of income, high cost of living and broader social disadvantage, all of which have been worsened by the COVID-19 pandemic. Single mothers have been hit the hardest by unemployment during the recession, and asylum seekers, refugees and non-residents are also at-risk groups, because they have not been eligible for any government support during the pandemic. Kirby Swim is proud to be a supporter of this initiative for many years, helping families in need in our community

13.01.2022 On this day 20 years ago, Bill and his mates stormed down the pool to win this race in an epic fashion. It wasnt a close race like the 4 x 100 relay - it was a substantial victory and World Record from the strongest Freestyle nation of the day. In a testament to the teams strength, amazing swimmers such as Grant Hackett missed out on being part of the final four. In the stands (the nosebleeds!) were his parents and fiance Saskia - cheering the team on to this epic culminati...on of years of effort and sacrifice by a team of people, family, friends, coaches, support staff. Its still an amazing race to look back on today and an amazing experience! See more

10.01.2022 Here is a quick video on how to let us know you cant make your lesson Log into your parent portal at: https://app.iclasspro.com/portal/mandurahks... Then go to your student, and future absences. Mark down the date of the absence (a max of 21 days in advance, with a minimum of 4 hours notice) Once the class time has passed, youll automatically be generated a make up token, and you can then request a make up lesson (video to come) As we get used to the new system, we hope to tweak it and make it even better Ps - the 4 hours notice is so that parents also have the ability to see a spot that becomes available in enough time to book as well - we know that can be tricky but felt it was the best balance of notice for everyone

09.01.2022 Please : remember that we are still under restrictions here, and numbers are limited. This week weve seen an increase in people bringing spectators to the pool. We are parents too, and we know its fun to show grandparents and visitors the fun you are having in lessons But we need to look after each other and do the right thing. Lets not overload our pool deck with people, keep it Covid-safe and dont bring anyone you dont need to during this phase. Social distancing is easier and more effective with less people on our deck

08.01.2022 Its been 20 years! Who can believe it? This opening ceremony was exciting in so many ways, being at home and the realisation of a dream come true for Bill. As Bill reflects: the opening ceremony was that moment where I realised that Id done it. Id finally made it. Whatever happened next I could legitimately call myself an Olympian and that was the realisation of a lifetime of hard work and sacrifice for the sport I loved. Walking into that stadium with the crown erupting, my mates beside me as surreal and, I cant even explain it!
