25.01.2022 Exciting news! For those of you who dont know, a new chapter has begun at Steve Harris Mechanical. We have purchased the business and have taken over from the 1st of April. You will still be seeing Steve and Vicki around but they are having a well deserved rest and eventually a change in lifestyle, Steve will still be working with us for a while. 21.01.2022 OUR BUSINESS NAME IS CHANGING KIRK & CO. AUTO As of the 1st of June, we will no longer be Steve Harris Mechanical. We still have the same great staff, friendly smiling faces and are still always happy to help! The only thing that will change will be our name and we are so excited! ... As you are all aware, we purchased the business off Steve Harris just over a year ago and continued to trade under his business name to make it an easier transition for customers. We would also like to thank Steve and Vicki for all they have done for us! None of this would be possible without them! After plenty of discussions, paperwork and organisation the time has finally arrived!! TIME TO MAKE IT OURS! Thank you to all our customers for their support over the past year! 18.01.2022 Only 8 Business days left until were closed for Christmas, New Years and the arrival of our newest family member! Due to this we wont be reopening until the 15th of January! 10.01.2022 STEVE HARRIS MECHANICAL IS HIRING! We are a family owned and operated Mechanical Workshop located in Gulgong, NSW. We are looking for a Qualified Light Vehicle ...Mechanic who takes pride in their work. They must display a strong work ethic and positive attitude, enjoy working on a wide range of vehicle types and be able to follow direction and give directions to others. All successful applicants will be required to possess- Appropriate Trade Qualifications together with exceptional mechanical knowledge and competency A professional and reliable attitude Current NSW manual drivers licence Be able to perform quality services and mechanical repairs, removing and refitting engines, timing belt, water pumps etc in all vehicle makes and models from new to old, experience in brakes and suspension Exceptional diagnostic skills with current knowledge of and ability to use Scan Tool Effective time management skills with ability to prioritise multiple responsibilities, work unsupervised and take initiative as required Auto electrical (Preferred but not required) AIS Examiner (Preferred but not required) Completing job cards Ensuring workshop and work station is clean and tidy at all times Ability to work independently or in a team environment Recognise and report obviously worn or potentially dangerous components of customer vehicles Excellent customer service and time management skills Be fit and able to carry out manual labour Be positive and have can-do attitude Capable and confident in your work ability Possess a high level of initiative and the ability to work well under pressure Experience with a range of tools and equipment associated with mechanical workshop operations Ability to discuss and resolve problems. Working with children & police check This role will start off on a casual basis of 20-38 hours per week but could potentially lead to full-time employment. Mum and bub are now home and we are all doing well adjusting as a family of 4!
