23.01.2022 Apple Issues? I can help! My most recent client had a problem with their 27' iMac. The issue turned out to be a thermal sensor failure causing the iMac to throttle in speed and make the fans run at 100% all the time! I was able to resolve this issue with at replacement sensor and returned the iMac in working order.... 19.01.2022 Technology can almost always be repaired.... sometimes the costs are just too much! Point in case with my last 2 clients, an old dell laptop and a 27" iMac. Both of these to repair did not make it financially viable for the clients. At least the hard drives were operational and data could be recovered. A win in the end for both parties just unfortunate that the units had costly repairs required. 18.01.2022 MacBook Pro Issues? I can help you with those. Today I was able to assist a client with their MacBook Pro 2012. I was able to restore the MacBook to a fully functional state after a hardware failure. I also upgraded them to an SSD to improve performance and they could not be happier! 17.01.2022 Server Update The new server has been operational for a few weeks now and I have already been able to see the benefits. 1) Whilst having a lower core count it has approx twice the computational power of its predecessor 2) Power consumption has dropped from 300 watts peak to approx 130 watts peak meaning I will be saving on electricity costs 3) I finally have a server with integrated IPMI/ILO/iDRAC! Whatever its call by the manufacturer it does the same thing, monitoring and ...control of the server even when it is turned off! This has been a massive improvement over a directly connected monitor, keyboard and mouse! Highly recommended to anyone looking for new kit. If you are in need of a new server, pc, router, network or even just help connecting it all together please don't hesitate to contact me. 11.01.2022 Reception on TV's and newer smart boxes can sometimes be difficult to tune correctly. I recently finished helping an lovely lady with her Foxtel Now reception as she was unsure how to fix the problem. All channels are no operational with 100% signal quality. She was most appreciative. 10.01.2022 After 2 trips and many man hours of work my customers equipment is installed in the DataCenter. Just waiting on their interconnect to be finalised and it will be all systems go! 09.01.2022 The latest deployment for a client ready to be installed. This was a scratch build as they have no infrastructure yet. The client is remote and the only NBN product is Fixed Wireless. The mobile coverage is much faster in this area so a decision was made to deploy a mobile broadband solution. A custom pFsense router has been built with 4G datacard and multiple Ubiquiti UniFi WiFi AP's to provide coverage for the multiple buildings onsite. All of this is to be housed neatly... in the rack for a minimal installation with room for growth. Looking forward to getting this installed and operational. 08.01.2022 Bright, Shiny and New! A recent client of mine just upgraded from their iPhone 5 to an iPhone 6s. Unfortunately for them they needed assistance with migrating their data between phones. Fortunately this is an easy task and only to about 15min to complete and they were up and running on their new phone. 06.01.2022 Slow internet? I can help by replacing poor quality consumer hardware with a cost effective enterprise grade equipment. These screen grabs are from a recent installation I completed for a client. They are on NBN 12/1 and struggled to get above 2.5M down now they can get almost full bandwidth on WiFi. 04.01.2022 I have just finished assisting a client in upgrading their computer and recovering their data. The plan was to used the existing HDD as a large data store and install a fast SSD as the main os drive. Things took a turn for the worst as the drive was failing during the data recovery. Fortunately I was able to recover the important items before the drive went belly up! A timely and lucky save for my client as their data would have been lost if nothing was done. I am glad I... could have been on service and breath new life into this machine. 03.01.2022 Sometimes computers can be confusing and frustrating. I was happy to support a local family who had acquired a new Wacom tablet for their daughter's laptop. I was able to help them get it setup and show them how to use the device. They were very applicative of the assistance.
