25.01.2022 Such a tricky time for couples planning to get married this year. Alisa and Ben had a big celebration planned but opted to scale it right back for a more intimate family affair. The ceremony took place on a private deck at Tallwoods with photos at Blackhead rock pool afterwards. Special thanks to Sarah Julian for bringing the laughter and joy. And big congrats to Ben and Alisa!

22.01.2022 So nice to photograph a winter wedding in Newcastle. Delightful couple, Emmanuel and Ashleigh, scored a sunny windless day for their much anticipated nuptials. Ceremony was at the Belair Baptist Church, we swung past Mereweather Heights for some pics and caught the golden light over lake Macquarie, before the reception kicked off at Brown Sugar, Warner's Bay. We even had guests watching from Kenya via Zoom.

19.01.2022 Love a good beach house elopement and this was a pretty special one. Erin and Calyn scored the best beach house in Boomerang, a big stylish Queenslander parked across the road from the south end (Wynola). Guest list was kept to family and a few lucky friends. The stress-free couple splashed out on great food, booze and music and the rain eased off long enough for us to get some lovely relaxed pics. 19.01.2022 This was such an amazing wedding to attend and capture and my last before the Covid restrictions kicked in. Gorgeous couple, great location (Tocal Homestead) and picture perfect weather. We didn't have to go far for photos which meant the whole day flowed really smoothly and we got lots of great candid pics with family and friends. 17.01.2022 Wedding tip: if you want to look great on the dance floor - marry a dancer. Sam and Ryan at Pacific Palms Surf Club.

15.01.2022 It's all love, bubbly drinks and laughs when we're out on a wedding shoot. Until, that is, we run into another wedding party. Then we mock battle it out - Anchor Man 2 style - to see who gets to use the location. Thanks to Kate and Jason for sending this bridal party back to Sydney without ripping any frocks. :)

14.01.2022 Every wedding is completely different from the last and brings unique challenges and opportunities. Some days you've coaxing emotion from a shy bride and groom. Other weekends go more like this:18 in the bridal party, the girls in jet black; sunflowers, tatts, spontaneous flashmobs, schapps shots, blue skies, a midday sun and a non-stop good time. You just kind of hang on and enjoy the ride and hope your photos capture the true spirit of the people and the occasion. Bride tribe got ready at Sevan Apartments (Penthouse One), ceremony was at Tiona's Green Cathedral and reception was at Hamilton's Tuncurry.

12.01.2022 Highlights from Angela and Alan's perfect summer wedding in the Palms. Girls got gorgeous at Green Point; Boys suited up overlooking the sea at at Bluey's Beach. Ceremony took place on the lawn at Tiona where the wedding transformed into a party at dusk and guests danced away the night under stars and fairy lights. Take a bow and add your details if you were a vendor. Cakes by Candi B. BM dress by Mister Zimi.

11.01.2022 Highlights from the beautiful wedding celebration of Brianna and James.

10.01.2022 Flash back to wedding shoot at Wallis Lake. Great work from the local gulls and boat owner for bringing this little scene together.

09.01.2022 Another lovely review. Thanks Sam! "Kirk is amazing! He photographed our wedding in March 2019 in Pacific Palms and he was great to work with all around. We live overseas and it was so helpful that Kirk was quick to respond to all of our questions. On the day his knowledge of the area was so helpful to get the best shots based on weather, and he also has a very calming personality - great when the nerves were starting to set in early in the day. Kirk also did an amazing job of capturing candid pics as well as helping us with the more posed photos in a nice relaxed way! He captured our day perfectly and I would highly recommend Kirk Owers. Thank you Kirk!

07.01.2022 Highlights from Blake and Ashlee's beautiful Tiona wedding. So great to be back shooting weddings again. Thanks to all the local vendors who made this day run and look so good. 06.01.2022 Beautiful sunsets over Lake Wallis lately. Sydney couple, Sam and Peter, had their wedding by its rain-forested shores and ducked out for a few extra pictures between speeches as the sky lit up in shades of amber. A perfect finish to their big day.

04.01.2022 So nice to kick off the wedding season with sunny skies, a beaming couple and a bunch of awesome crew who know how to have a good time. They were literally swinging from the rafters when I left Tiona Conference Centre. Congrats again guys. Hope you're getting plenty of snow at Hakuba.

04.01.2022 Highlights from a sweet Boat Beach elopement.

04.01.2022 Local surfer, Wendy glowing on her wedding day.

03.01.2022 Monique and Alec travelled from Queensland to have their wedding at a stunning family property at the foot of Cape Hawk. Forster turned on a magic winter's day for the intimate gathering and we didn't have to travel anywhere for pics.

02.01.2022 All you need is love. And family. And friends. And six super cute flower girls. Then even if it rains and you have to move your wedding to a backyard last minute it will all still go wonderfully. A bit like this: Hayley and Weylin, barefoot and love-struck, tying the knot with their bright-eyed boy Taj in the family backyard. A perfect day. Congrats guys!

02.01.2022 Highlights from Ellen and Mathew's beautiful Pacific Palms wedding. I've been loving shooting these smaller elopement style weddings.

01.01.2022 Another lovely 5 * review. Thanks Bree! "Wow! where to begin? Kirk has an amazing talent! Our wedding photos are everything that we wanted! After the ceremony Kirk knew exactly where to go and how to stand to capture the lighting. We felt so relaxed and comfortable with him, and we are beyond happy with the memories he captured for us. I keep looking at our photos again and againstill don't get tired of them, they are so beautiful. We are so happy that we found Kirk and would highly recommend him. We can’t thank him enough!
