To council or police (please do not tow or fine our members cars) & note that only our lifesavers on patrol, jetski operators and committee members on official club duties to keep our voluntary service running will be parking in the Kirra SLSC carpark whilst the carpark is closed. The official unveiling of honour boards and presentation of life member caps was enjoyed with a few cold beverages. 08.01.2022 To Our Kirra Community, Supporters, Sponsors & Family! Great teams rise together in pursuit of excellence. Our achievements for the 2019/20 season are beyond amazing. We were so proud and honoured to have shared the stories of our incredible members hard work at a National level. We look forward to seeing where we can take it in 2020/21. While we didn’t get the win this season and congratulations to Penguin Tas, we have excelled in so many areas and will continue this for... the 2020/21 season. Too many thank you’s to list but firstly I would like to thank everyone who showed up for their club last night , to Loretta and team for the social posts, organising the event, the food, decorations and getting the IT link to workish . To our Surf Woman OFTY Ella who had some technical difficulties (couldn’t hear, ipods went flat at the perfect time half way through the cross) yet still managed to tell the country what Kirra is all about when she spoke to Peter Flannery. For Pete it’s 3 generations and for many of us 2. Our loyalty to our club, each other and our Kirra FAMILY is what makes us winners already. 06.01.2022 Thank you to the amazing generosity of our community and in particular David Sturmer and his team who donated $1600 after auctioning off art work created to raise funds for disabled surfers. I was honoured to be able to accept this on behalf of the club. 02.01.2022 New Office Manager Position Available! Kirra Surf Life Saving Club is currently seeking a part-time Office Manager working approx. 20-25 hours per week for Club. The position requires a self-motivated person with strong computer and organisational skills along with great interpersonal skills. Kirra SLSC is a small family friendly club and the role will require interaction with the public, fellow staff and club members, so a welcoming professional manner is essential. Accuracy... in data entry is extremely important along with good time management and verbal and written skills. You will be required to be flexible with your working hours and generally exclude Public Holidays and weekends. Award rates under the Clubs Qld Award are on offer. Proficiency in the following programs is either essential or preferred: - Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Essential - MYOB Essential - Surfguard Essential - Social Media Platforms including Facebook and Instagram Preferred - Website Maintenance Preferred - Advertising Platforms including Mailchimp Preferred Tasks include but are not limited to: - Data entry in MYOB (invoices, direct debits, payments/receipts, payroll) - Data entry in Surfguard (processing memberships, patrol logs and awards for SLSC) - Social Media Management posting of information and design of posts - Produce Newsletters and email bulletins for members - Liaise with Members, Suppliers and Contractors - General Office duties including daily banking, emails, answering phone calls and filing - Other duties as requested by the Club Manager or Management committee Application Process: Please forward your cover letter and resume to [email protected] covering your previous work experience, qualifications and your referees. We would like to Congratulate Michael Beattie on his very deserving win of the Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation ACHPER QLD David Keating "Voluntary Service Award" for 2020. We are grateful to Mick and his ongoing support of our club. Many of the youth that have come through his program have gone on to hold Committee positions, become Patrol Captains and win State, National and World medal for Kirra! Well done Mick
