25.01.2022 If you have purchases planned of imported bicycles or parts (which is close to all of them), it may be worth considering not waiting to long, This chart shows the fall of the Australian dollar in recent times, the flow on price increases are coming through as new stock comes in.

25.01.2022 Our new GXP cranks will be finished production the 20th of Feb, due to strong demand we have listed them on the website and are accepting pre-orders, The listing is for crank arms only with the option to add a bottom bracket. Sizes 160mm. 165mm, 170mm This format means if you are running Omniums these will be an easy and quick fit if not the bottom bracket threads are mercifully pretty standard on track. 23.01.2022 Been a quiet time for news. It has been good to see tracks opening up around the country and club racing up and running in around the place. We have started to gear up again in anticipation of the coming track season happening. We have more hubs, Aero and standard, more options in Gipiemme wheels, expanded offerings in chainrings, and 58 tooth 5mm arriving shortly which will give us 44,45,46,48,49,50,51,52,53,54,55,56 and 58, In case you missed it we added 36/52 and 39 tooth options to our 34/46, 34,50 options for our short cranks (145mm,155m) Hoping everyone is staying well Ken

22.01.2022 We had just run out of 155mm cranks, but we have a new production run arriving on Friday, new stock lines include BBK 39/ 110 /5 bolt chainrings for U/15s,BBK 36/52 5 bolt 110 chainrings for adult users of short cranks and more 34/50s. 12 and 13 th track cogs get topped up for the coming season.We will have some great news on new BBK products and super specials fro Gipiemme up shortly..

20.01.2022 We are broadening our hub offerings . We have always been design oriented and love a good bit machining. Phil wood tick both boxes and have been making excellent hubs forever. They offer a variety of models and can accomodate most drillings. Prices for hubs and as build options will be up shortly. The very first build will be in a set of Gipiemme H.6.0 track wheels.

19.01.2022 We have just landed our new BBK 38mm carbon clincher . They are 24mm wide so the frontal area is ok, the rims have a claime d weight of 400 grams the ones we have e checked are 393. The total wheel weight is 760 front, 813 rear = 1573 with our Sapim CX Ray build with alloy nipples . as high a rating as you can ge t in carbon clincher s of 120 PSI.

16.01.2022 With the October 1 age group rollover happening yesterday, We thought this special offer might hit the spot. Riders going into Under 19s have carbon wheels in their sights. 15.01.2022 We have been catching up on some building. These are the last two sets of of Gipiemmie 716 650C rimsets made and in my humble opinion the fastest alloy 650cs available.We have used our BBK double sided sealed bearing hubs with Sapim CX ray spokes and alloy nipples. $599

15.01.2022 We have been out of 160mm track cranks for a while now, a lot of our products are very niche. Uncertainties around 2020 have made production schedules tough, so we are excited to have these puppies hitting the deck in February. We have upgraded to two piece GXP format of the unit pictured and will be offering 160,165 and 170mm lengths with standard or ceramic bottom brackets. Price will be under $250 (we will run an introductory special once they are in the air)

13.01.2022 With The track season now done and dusted, its time to Highlight someBBK road wheels. We have some great wheels for the Alloy restricted catagories. We went to a 24mm wide 26mm deep rim to suit the new standard of 25mm tyres, laced them up with Aero Sapim CX Ray spokes, alloy nipples and our new BBK superlight hubs at 180 gram rear(with bite guard) and 60 gram front. bringing the wheels in at a class leading 1390 grams. The rims are tubless compatible and we round out the package with Titanium skewers. at $899 a pair.

10.01.2022 We have been building heaps of wheels this week. Although we are heading into track season we have some road offerings. To start with a run down on our new alloy race wheels. 1.Hubs -New BBK 185 gm rear 63gm front straight pull. 6 pawl freehub with bite guard and less than 4 degrees engagement. 2. Rims- 24mm x 28 mm .We went with 24mm rims to match with the widespread use of 25mm tyres. We could have got a more impressive headline weight by using a narrower rim, but these wil...l be faster . 3. Spokes - Sapim CX Ray _You cant buy a faster more aero spoke. With Hex drive alloy nipples This Package gives an all up weight of 1380 grams with excellent power transfer and durability. 06.01.2022 We are continually looking for parts to improve kids setup. I have found some nice kids size STI road shift /brake levers, which would work great for riders using our 34 and 36 bars, It would mean smaller riders could reach the brake levers properly and be better placed to change gears. Question is, is they an apetite for them , would be under $150 only 10spd atm.

06.01.2022 We have some good projects coming through at the moment . Our new BBK 50mm high, 25mm high 405 gram tubular road rims have arrived will be built into fast race wheels with our new superlight road hubs (64 gram front (185 gram rear) arriving shortly, these will go into our 24mm wide alloy wheelsets as well get them below 1400 grams Gipiemme have done a great deal for us on 16 spoke H60 tubulars which we will start building up next week with our aero hubs.

04.01.2022 New bits and pieces arriving in this coming week include some nice light PU (poly urethane) handlebar tape, (so you wont have to spend $40 to get light, nice tape,in black and white. Titanium Quick release skewers which we have been missing for a while and knock 100 grams off the bike, lots of wheel components which will keep me busy building next week and 24 hole track hubs. A range of BBK bottom brackets to solve press fit creaking issues are in motion and will arrive soon

We have commisioned a new exclusive model rim that is both wider and lighter coming in at a class leading 595 grams for a rim that is 23x40mm and still utilizes the renowned triple wall design for superior strength. The standard config for 2020 will be 16 Sapim CX ray spokes front and rear which we recommend for up to 80kg. 02.01.2022 Still on Wheels. Lets keep it to track for this one. Parents often ask what wheels does little Johnny/Jeanette need? So here are my thoughts U/17s best to have a training set and a race set, especially if you want to run the best tyres, they can wear out a bit quickly if your training on them as well and you dont want any nicks or cuts in your tyres for events that count. this applies to younger age categories as well, the more klms the track bike does the more a training ...set of wheels (and tyres) becomes a good idea U/19 and up. 1. A set of clinchers (usually your carry over U/17 race set) , fast enough for club racing and day to day work. 2. You could consider it extravagant but I think a set of tubulars one step under your five spoke disc combo is handy for when you dont want to risk your 2K front wheel. 3.Your full race setup, a rear disc is a given and can be used in any big race, front wheel 3,4 or 5 spoke depending on the rider and event.A low spoke count carbon can be very quick as well.. A Front disc is nice to have but doesnt get a lot of outings, timed events only. See more
