25.01.2022 The Warrnambool Standard, 22 December 2012. You can read the story on the State Librarys website.
25.01.2022 Youre invited to Get Wrecked with me and Dave at our inaugural dinner theatre event. Salacia, the figurehead and spirit of the mysterious Mahogany Ship has arisen again to tell her bizarre tale of Portugals efforts to "discover" Australia. The show will be followed by a quiz on the 30 wrecks which lie close to the venue, an excellent eatery which will be offering prizes to the winners. If you cant make it raise a glass of rum to our virgin voyage. Aaaarrghhh!

22.01.2022 Fashion for Funerals, a unique fusion of fashion show, music, song and dance, will be on in Ballarat from 23-26 November next week. It has been put together by the one and only Kat Pengelly and I have written the words where they were deemed necessary. Please come along if you can or even support Kats Crowd Funding campaign. This is the second incarnation of the show which premiered in Natimuk in 2015. This new, improved version has more music including a rap written by me which includes sound advice on breast cancer and prostate cancer awareness. Check those chesticles and test those testicles!! Please come and support cancer research as well as have a laugh.
20.01.2022 In February this year I was selected for the post of coordinator for a small literary festival on the coast here - Ex Libris Port Fairy Festival of Words. It wasnt really until April that I got stuck into this part-time role which at the moment seems more or less full time. I think weve got a great programme which is now available at http://www.exlibris.port-fairy.com/program. Please have a look even if youre on the other side of the world. Im particularly looking forward to meeting Julie Hunt, my daughters favourite (at the moment) author and cant wait for the Hurling Insults Contest and the Cussing Competition to be judged by Professor Kate Burridge.

13.01.2022 The Australian Kelpie Centre opened on 9 June 2018, eight months after I began work on its content. It is the first and only dog museum/cultural centre in Australia and one of only seven in the world. It was officially opened during the annual Kelpie Muster in Casterton, and all speeches were accompanied by the barking of excited kelpies. How fitting that 2018 is the Chinese Year of the Dog!!

06.01.2022 Hello again Facebook fiends Back again, but a bit more organised this time. Heres the cover of the book. Why not be a sticky beak and sneak a peek behind the pages of Seek a Beak, the story of how the spoonbills of Lake Wendouree exchanged their boring old beaks for splendid spatula shaped bills. Follow Poon, king of the spoonbills, as he leads his flock across the oceans where they encounter a purple pineapple palace, a clumsy princess and a magical mertiger. The book is fully illustrated and contains maps, mad bird facts, activities and even a song and dance. Props used in the making of the book together with film footage will be on show at the Ballarat Fine Art Gallery from 2-20 October.
03.01.2022 In 2003 one of my ideas for a radio programme was picked up by producer Sarah Taylor. The result was a highly acclaimed half hour documentary for BBC Radio 4. I researched the topic, wrote the voice-over script, interviewed seven people and presented the programme
