24.01.2022 It may seem like I've checked out already with my lack of posts at the moment, but I'm still here. I'm learning to take things a little slower which means social media has taken a back seat. Yesterday was my last day seeing patients for the year. we are off to Sydney on Tuesday to spend time with my family over Christmas and New Year. I'll be still checking emails and popping on to socials here and there, but my focus is to relax and unwi...nd as much as possible. For this reason I've decided to close my online shop while I'm away so it's one less thing todo. I'll leave the doors open until 6pm Monday night so if there are any last minute things you would like jump over now so I can organise postage for you. If you missed out on seeing me for a naturopathy appointment this year, I'll be back in Unley, Port Adelaide and online from the week starting 11 January. I still have 20% off all appointments until the end of Jan 2021 and prices will slightly increase from February for new bookings. If you would like to book head over to my website or send me a message. The first 2 weeks back are getting close to full already! I'll go live on Monday night to chat more but just wanted to check in and give you an update incase you wanted anything from the online shop before I go. Have a wonderful weekend See more

24.01.2022 This month I've set the challenge to journal daily. One of the most simple way to journal is gratitude journal. It's a great way to start or finish your day on a positive note and can also help to shift your mood during the day.... All you need to do is write down 3 things you are grateful for. It can be as simple or as detailed as you like. For example: Today I am grateful for: 1. The fresh air I'm breathing 2. The people and community I have around me 3. The opportunities i have to learn and grow. Have you tried gratitude journaling? What are 3 things you are grateful for today?

22.01.2022 This month I have set the challenge to journal every day. The idea behind journaling, is to get thoughts out of your head and on to paper. One way to do that is Brain Dump Journaling.... It's exactly what it sounds like. You write down everything you are thinking for a whole page or more. Don’t let your pen stop until the page is finished. It might not make sense however, it can help to clear your mind as well as help you to understand why you a feeling a certain way. It's a great one to try before bed if you are someone who lays awake over thinking. Have you tried brain dump journaling?

20.01.2022 Is this time of year a little hard on your gut? Lots of celebration foods, over eating, increased alcohol intake, late nights, extra stress?? It can be a little uncomfortable for some of us!... Enema kits are a great way to provide relief while you work on the underlying cause of what is going on with your guts or while you navigate the silly season. I have 2 blog posts on my website talking about the benefits of enemas plus free downloads sharing tips on how to use them. They not only help to reduce bloating and constipation they are also a powerful detoxification tool. If you need an enema kit to help you through the silly season or even as a Christmas gift I have the Happy Bum Co enemas kits, coffee beans and anti inflammatory blend in stock. Send me a message and I can organise to get one too you or send through any questions you have. Are you keen to give the enema kits a go?

18.01.2022 This week I shared a post about the connection between the gut and the brain and how they are in constant communication with each other. They are connected to each other by a 2 way superhighway called the vagus nerve. Along this highway the gut and brain send messages to each other. If the connection becomes weak it can cause digestive issues as well as disruption to mood and cognition.... Just like muscles this connection can be strengthen Ways to strengthen your vagus nerve include: Gargling Singing out loud Deep breathing I think it's pretty obvious that belting out a tune is good for the mood, but now you know it's good for your gut health too.... Who thinks this might be a good idea for a monthly challenge

18.01.2022 Chamomile blooming in the garden It smells so good! I love running my hands through the leaves and taking a big sniff. It’s an instant feeling of relaxation I love doing this with rosemary and lavender too ... Do you take time to stop and sniff the herbs? Will you now after reading this? Thanks @whole_vitality_healthcare for gifting me the seedlings from your garden

15.01.2022 My morning view for the last few weeks At the end of last year my doctor and I discovered an issue with my thyroid. I started working with a naturopath who specialises in thyroid conditions and after our first appointment she said you need to SLOW DOWN. On the outside I didn’t look stressed but on the inside my nervous system was working non stop ... I’ve implemented lots of changes since then, including a slow morning routine. Before, I’d set the alarm for 5:15, throw on activewear and be out the door. It was go go go until I hit the pillow at night Now I’m letting my body wake up naturally. I make a herbal tea first thing and sit in the garden and drink it slowly. I’ve watched the sunflowers bloom, spotted native blue bees and learnt all about the lifecycle of a golden orb spider I’m really enjoying this change and this slow start to the day How do you start your day? Do you have a morning routine?

06.01.2022 Persimmons I have shared about them before but I thought it was worth sharing again because they are SO DELICIOUS and not many people know about them. I only tried persimmons a few years ago but now they are my favourite fruit.... They look like a weird tomato but they taste like a sweet cinnamon dessert. Apparently there are two different kinds. This kind is good to eat when they are firm but they taste even better once you let them get soft and jelly. Have you tried persimmons before?
