23.01.2022 This is how music began... Finding sounds in our environment, being fascinated by them, hearing them, feeling them, exploring them.. noticing how they reach into us and resonate our inner experience... How sound finds things within us and draws them out is something so beautiful and mysterious. ... How sound weaves connections between our outer and inner world is profound. Music is a human language of feeling built from the fundamental principles of the universe. And this is how music began...

22.01.2022 The thing I love most about this guy’s approach: his curiosity and fascination with sound. It’s what leads us through the challenging process of learning

15.01.2022 Vale Chick Corea. His legacy is huge and his music lives on. We have the gift of always connecting with his big spirit in his music

15.01.2022 Victor Wooten's philosophy has been a huge inspiration for the work of Collective Music. Here, he articulates one of the most important pieces of this philosophy, and what we really need to return to, in order to learn to "speak music" and bring it alive as a form of expression that we can all use, along with out mother tongue. https://youtu.be/3yRMbH36HRE

13.01.2022 There is so much in this... The power that this musician has to bring people together and deliver not just a message, but an EXPERIENCE of hope and connection. Not only that, but among groups of people who have been in conflict and misunderstanding of each other for centuries.... Music is so powerful.

12.01.2022 This guy is a genius and has an approach to practice that is really the secret: practice what you want to create, what excites you and what fascinates you. The way I like to put it is, have creativity at the heart of your practice. https://youtu.be/t9jwpZENQUI

12.01.2022 The best moments in our lives are not the passive, receptive, relaxing times The best moments usually occur if a person’s body or mind is stretched to its limits in a voluntary effort to accomplish something difficult and worthwhile. Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi Just one small reason to practice music.

11.01.2022 Chick Corea and Bobby McFerrin - a match made in heaven. Vale Chick and gracias por la musica

10.01.2022 Music lies where nature and humanity meet

08.01.2022 Jacob Collier is simply brilliant. This is an amazing display of emotion in music. Take a journey!

07.01.2022 I love this! It shows how a high level musician thinks about and understands music. Also, it shows how if you want to play along with something you’ve never heard before, you need to LISTEN for quite a while first. You can’t fully grasp all the details of it if you’re playing straight away. He really tunes in, catches all the important structures, formulates the bigger picture of the song form in his mind and the finer details as well. Then he relies on his instincts and feeling to find his way through as he plays the song.

07.01.2022 Sound is vibration. Sound vibrates matter. Body is matter. Body feels. Body feels sound vibration.... It feels good Music truly is the universal language.

03.01.2022 Masterful harmony and blending...

02.01.2022 Whenever you talk about creativity, ... it can have this kind of feel that it's just nice, you know, or it's warm or it's something pleasant. It's not. It's vital. It's the way we heal each other. In singing our song, in telling our story, in inviting you to say, "Hey, listen to me, and I'll listen to you," we're starting a dialogue. And when you do that, this healing happens, and we come out of our corners, and we start to witness each other's common humanity. We start to... assert it. And when we do that, really good things happen. So, if you want to help your community, if you want to help your family, if you want to help your friends, you have to express yourself. And to express yourself, you have to know yourself. It's actually super easy. You just have to follow your love. There is no path. There's no path till you walk it, and you have to be willing to play the fool This last part... in creativity we come to know ourselves, and we have to be willing to play the fool. To fail. To look silly, unaccomplished, unfinished, uncomfortable. This is truly the key to creativity, and by no coincidence, fundamental to our healing.
