25.01.2022 This young lady was found in a drain no chip or anything quite a few wks ago. On ultrasound there was no sign of pregnancy. Today she went in for desexing and it confirmed what we had suspected. No desexing shes in late stage pregnancy but with only 1 baby mayb 2. We already had lil loui on the bottle here so we thought we would try introducing them... wellll it looks like loui has a new mumma. Wooo

25.01.2022 This gorgeous girl is now admitted at aus zoo for a few days. Our mountain carer jessie collected her from the markets first up this morning. It was found one of her wounds required a cleanup an stitches. Whateva took her mum she is sooo lucky that she was found and alive! One very lucky girl!

24.01.2022 Currently at the uni waiting for sedation and pain releif to kick in so we can unload this poor girl. We were on our way to one hit near the raaf base well it died while we were driving to it. Thought id just do a loop and found this poor girl laying on the road side. Shes been hit by a car too on rosewood Amberley rd. Meanwhile im rangling a roo and amanda ran off petrified and left me. Funniest thing ever. Someone needs more roo handling lol but she has said shes gd she will just handle joeys hahahha

17.01.2022 3 baby galahs and their nest vs land clearing... i know who lost both their home and their parents! Poor bubbas. All feeding really well. They will be released eventually once ready, into the flock that visits ivans of an arvo for a feed. Cant wait! Release is the best part of what we do!

10.01.2022 Theres 10 new tawnys flying free tonight around the sanctuary.. wonder how many will pop themselves back in the aviary by morning lol i can hear quite a few outside near the verandeh. Release is the best part of rehabilitation.. seeing them free back where they belong. (This pic is an older one) 3 adults and 7 teenagers are off.

At night toby now puts himself to bed with ollie in the bathroom lol he left me and the bed for ollie... feeln sooo unloved lol btw they have beds but chose to sleep there! The bathroom was ollies rehab safe place hence his attachment to the place

08.01.2022 A baby kangaroo was spotted on the side of the road. When he saw the human, he hopped up and held out his arms to be picked up. His rescuer gave him a Teddy bea...r to hold onto and then took him to an animal rescue center. Weeks later, the orphaned baby, now named "Doodlebug," still keeps a tight hold on his bear for comfort. See more

06.01.2022 FINN IS IN BIGGGG TROUBLE. He broke the fence and has gone MIA to visit the other mares on the next rd on the hill! Now i have to borrow a float to get him home. Sooooo not happy with him. I walked mountains, been chased by cows and followed by 2 cats on a mission to find the lil devil! Soooo not happy

06.01.2022 Every yr we raise, rehab and release 20 to 30 maggies sometimes more. Every 2yrs theres always one that will be different. 1 who despite being treated like all the others becomes overly attached. They are all flying and free now including this one who has decided that shoulders are branches. She scavenges, eats and catches bugs but still craves a mothers luv human or bird. She often drives me crazy and makes me deaf but i know when she is ready she will leave the sanctuary.

06.01.2022 Picked up a glider, dropped at vets.. called in a broken down van on the minden range to police where all the accidents are as i nearly witnessed a couple of close calls due to it. Why would noone call it in seriously in this weather better to be safe then sorry!

06.01.2022 IMOORTANT. Any animal being surrendered to the sanctuary will come with a form to be signed confirming surrender by the owner.

05.01.2022 MARY has had all her vet work completed today. She is now avail for preadoption. Mary comes with Microchipping, Vaccination, flea and worm treated, desexed and her full medical history from her baiting incident. Mary is a very special cat roughly around 1yr of age. She is gd with dogs plus other cats. Very affectionate and playful. Mary will be choosing her own family via meet and greets. Once they have been done we will get back to everyone with the appropriate and best home suited for her. Her adoption cost is $300

02.01.2022 In this evening.. baby stripped honey eater, baby butcher bird who is extremly thin and not in the best shape.. 50/50 on whether he will make it. Also a baby galah! Bubba galah needs a vet check tomorrow on her wings.. Thats 6 baby galahs and 1 adult male in the last few wks!

01.01.2022 It has been a very rough 2020 for us all but as they say christmas is the time of hope and giving. We are sending our Christmas wish out to u all to join our $1 a mth! 25c a week campaign. We all dont have alot to give this yr but your spare change can make an extremly WONDERFUL difference to animals in need if we all work together! We cant do it alone but with Teamwork! We can make a difference and change a small part of the world! Good Health, Family time, Hope and Happiness is what we wish for all our supporters this Christmas. Pls share and spread the love.
