13.01.2022 Brigade Bushfire Vollies are planning a Hazard Reduction burn in Kirup Town Saturday behind the Hall from 2 P.M onwards till dark. Please be advised there will be some smoke drifting involved.

12.01.2022 We would like to thank the Forest Products Commission for the $1700 community grant they provided for the brigade. The funds were used for the purchase and installation of a set of Gator reversing cameras for our fire truck. The cameras should make it easier to manoeuvre the truck, particularly in tight situations and also provide a safer working environment for personnel working on the ground around the truck. One of the cameras is located to provide a view of the top of the water tank. This is designed to make it possible for the driver to, independently, drive the truck into the correct position under a standpipe to refill the tank. The aim being to reduce the time taken to refill the truck. Hopefully this new equipment will improve our efforts to keep the community safe from bush fires. From all the KBFB members.
