25.01.2022 Hello to all our Swimming Families and loyal customers The new COVID regarding the outbreak in the South will not affect our pool operation or swim school at t...his time as we are adhering to the QLD Health Regulations. This new outbreak is a little reminder to everyone to ensure we are all following the correct guidelines to avoid our state being in lock down again :( Please ensure you are following these guidelines when you arrive to our centers 1 Always remain 1.5m distance 2- Use hand sanitisers always 3- If paying by card use PayWave where possible and avoid using cash where possible for payments 4- One spectator (Where possible) 5 Leave personal belonging at home and bring minimum items to the pool 6- Only use showers if absolute necessary and try to have them at home (We understand people going to work after or keeping babies warm ) 7- Continue to prebook your swimming sessions and ensure we have correct contact details in the case of an outbreak, and we can contact you. 8- If you have any cold or flu like symptoms, cough, runny nose; please stay home. Our centres have purchased temperature Checking Machines as extra precaution and if you temperature is over 37.5 we will ask that you go home and rest and self-isolate until you fell better or have been COIVD checked. Our pools have many elderly and disability clients and many with respiratory issues so this added precaution is for your own safety and the safety of the community. 24.01.2022 COVID Changes As restrictions ease we no longer need to pre book pool space however we do need to record pool attendance. The reason for this is incase a community outbreak of COVID occurs. We do not use this for marketing purposes and the information is discarded after 56 days. We will provide hand sanitiser and an attendance register where you need to provide your name/group or family name, phone number and time. Functions and Swim School do not have to fill this in as we... have your details and time of attendance. Regulars- If you are a regular and come at the same time each week we will have a separate attendance list for you to fill in and this will avoid congestion and repetitive information. 24.01.2022 Kirwan Aquatic Centre will open tomorrow :) We will book swimmers and families in all weekend BUT you need to pre book prior. Think of this as a private party :) Max per booking is 10 per pool so bookings are limited. Each booking is 45 minutes in Stage One and this time will extend in Stage 2! Families can book 45 sessions for Stage 1 and will change to 1 hour for Stage 2!... Bookings can be made between 9am to 3pm by calling 47233447 (we will not take email, answering machine or facebook bookings, please be patient and quick when booking to allow others to do so too) Pool Hours Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm Sat & Sun 7am to 4pm COVID regulations 1-social distancing applies 2-one person per allocated lane, remain in your lane (Families or people under the same household can swim in one lane together) 3-no spectators (one carer only) 4-change rooms will be closed 5-shower at home prior to arrival 6- No walk-ins - must phone to book an allocated lane. Swim School will return in Term 3 and news about this is seperate to this opening BUT we will hold a free July Holiday Program to prepare our swimmers. 17.01.2022 Hello Thank you for assisting us to get through Stage 1 restrictions, and we now we are able to move to Stage 2 tomorrow; June 1st at 12pm. What does this mean? Everything is the same except we can have 20 people instead of 10 people in the centre at one time.... We will continue our 45 minute booking system on 4723 3447 To ensure everyone fits in for a swim. *20 people per 45 minute booking weekdays *1 hour bookings on weekends * 20 per group for WaterPark (Bookings prior) *2 lap swimmers or walkers per lane from different households, more if from the same family. No hot showers No spectators (carer only) Swim School will still be on hold until Stage 3. We are hopeful we can run a free holiday program in the school holidays but will depend on restrictions.
