KIS Carpentry is based on the Gold Coast in Queensland, however we love packing up the bus and traveling the country for the right projects with passionate owners. Stevyn has spent the last decade or so traveling Australia taking on exciting projects that he was passionate about. He has undertaken a historical homestead restoration in Rural New South Wales, renovations and agricultural ...development in Western Australia, and authentic builds dotted along the east coast. No matter what he was doing, or where he was, he has always advocated for sustainability. In the past couple of years, he’s set down some roots in South East Queensland where KIS Carpentry was founded. From deconstructions, to restorations and education, Steve makes an conscious effort to Keep it Sustainable. Cristy - Chances are, when you have reached out to KIS Carpentry, you’ve been speaking with Cristy. Originally from California, Cristy moved to Australia 7 years ago. Cristy looks after the administrative side of things at KIS Carpentry...although she’s known to add her creative input from time to time. As somewhat of a minimalist, Cristy has always loved natural beauty and the simplicity clean lines. Along with her passion for sustainability, she often advocates for the beauty of Keeping it Simple. Buddy Love & Sarah Bean - it wouldn’t be a family business without including these two. Just like our materials, these rescue pups came second hand too. Buddy rescued us from @awlqld and Sarah found us via @bellevieanimalrescue . They’re hobbies include running, napping stealing pillows. They don’t quite understand the concept of sustainability, but they do love nature and going to work with Dad.
