08.01.2022 COVID-19 ALERT There have been some significant changes to COVID-19 restrictions in Greater Sydney today. These restrictions apply to the Central Coast. ...Masks will be mandatory in some indoor areas across Greater Sydney from midnight tonight. These settings include: Shopping centres Public transport Places of worship Movie cinemas Face masks will also be mandatory for all staff in hospitality venues and casinos and for patrons using gaming services. From Monday, anyone found in breach of mask rules will face a $200 fine. The Premier says it’s about giving confidence to business to continue while there is a higher risk of community transmission. Other restrictions are also being tightened: Gym classes will go from a maximum of 50 to 30 Dancing will be banned at nightclubs and other venues Weddings and funerals will be subject to a maximum of 100 people Numbers at outdoor performances will be reduced from one thousand to 500 The Premier says a walk-through will be conducted at the SCG today to check COVID plans for the Third Test with police, NSW Health and cricket organisers.

Anyone ...who attended the Belrose Hotel, 5 Hews Parade, Belrose, at any time in December, and developed symptoms at any time in December is asked to come forward for testing and isolate until a negative result is received. People who attended the following venues at the listed times are close contacts who must get tested immediately and isolate for 14 days regardless of the result: - North Sydney: Cibo Café, 71 Walker St Wednesday, 16 December, 11.30am 12.45pm. The cluster involves three household groups across Greater Sydney, including in south-west Sydney and the inner west. There are a number of venues where cases have been present while infectious, and therefore where other patrons might have been exposed to the virus. These include venues in Bankstown and Bass Hill.
