24.01.2022 After putting B2s back on track for a successful chase, let's get to know one of our young stars in the senior ranks Kieran Rees Bevan! KRB was an unusual late bloomer to the game as he started playing cricket in 2015 bowling big turning wrong-uns and throwing absolute rockets from the boundary line which he learnt from playing baseball prior to starting cricket. Over the years of developing his all-round craft he started to shift from bowling wrong-uns to bowling 1 finger banana bending seamers and develop a great technique with the bat to be a very useful lower-middle order batter! KRB so far has 1x 5-fa and a top score of 40 and is certainly getting better and better each season. Here's KRB's player profile.

22.01.2022 Here are most of our girls MB program enjoying a girls cricket holiday camp run by the Coaches' Association and Sydney Sixers. They all had a lot of fun and look forward to getting back to more cricket in their program restarting on 28th January. For those who would like to come and try before registering, we start at 6pm and finish 7:30pm for each session. To register head to playcricket.com.au and search for Kissing Point Cricket Club. Then choose Cricket Blast Master Blasters and select the For Girls Only option.

22.01.2022 More games coming up this week, in particular a D1s Derby! Our seniors will start their Round 2 2-week game whilst our juniors start their 1-dayer for Round 3. As vs St Ives @ Turra Oval 12:30pm - No game time last 2 weeks means Hazman's men are extremely fresh and raring to go. Timmy the Tractor and Kenny Druce are back playing both weeks whilst Dashy is unavailable for this game. B2s vs WPHC @ Greenway 1pm - A nice warm-up for Belly's team as they look to get themsel...Continue reading

21.01.2022 Beep Beep!! Yep it's a big birthday for C4s' Brian Paull today! Brian has been one of the main cogs in our competitive C3s and D1s sides over the years showing great reliability in his line and length with the ball and an entertaining but effective style for his batting at the top of the order. He has been involved in 3 premiership winning seasons in 2007/08, 2011/12 (pictured below) and of course 2019/20 if he has mentioned that to you already! He's certainly hungry for ...another 1 this season as he plays in Jude D'Silva's C4s side this time! His most memorable season individually would have to be his great batting form for C3s in 2017/18, one of the main reasons why that team lost only 1 game leading into the Grand Final which they lost sadly. The season before Beeps found runs hard to find as he could only get just 34 runs. However an impressive turn in form saw Beeps score his personal best season aggregate of 348 runs at an average of 24.86. We hear that Beeps' fidgety batting movements that have inspired Steve Smith's success are becoming even more prominent than ever so expect yet another big season from him!! Brian we hope you have a great day with family and mates today and we wish you all the very best for the season!

20.01.2022 Remember January 9th as Aubourg Day!! Yep, the Aubourgs excelled yesterday in our return back to cricket with our Player of the Week Zac taking 5/5 off 5 overs to win the game for As and the other 4 led by Simon’s fantastic 67* notched up their first win of the season in the KPCC derby in the last over! Let’s learn a bit more about the A Grade game! After losing the toss and batting first on a soft, holding wicket, our As made a cautious start with The Don and Backers befor...Continue reading

20.01.2022 Here's how the weekend went for our other teams: As St Ives 111 all out vs KPCC 6/34 - Timmy the Tractor produced a bowling masterclass in seam and bounce to claim 6/18 off his 18 overs! Zacca was just as important with his off-spin as he inflicted a collapse from 2/70 to all out 111 finishing with great figures of 2/48 off his 14.1 over spell. Browndog bowled like the wind for his 1 wicket entertaining the Brownpups on the sidelines and Kenny "Agile" Druce produced an amaz...Continue reading

20.01.2022 Our player of the month honours goes to the brilliant Lachie Bartlett who consistently performed brilliantly each and every week he played during November and the last 2 weeks of October!! His stats for those weeks are shown below. The team of the month for juniors and seniors is selected on who has performed the best with either bat, ball or wicket-keeping. 1-6 will generally be allocated to batting, 7 for the wicket-keeper and 8-11 for the bowlers although we'll natural...ly see a heap of all-rounders!! 17.01.2022 Jack Makin Things Happen!! Our highlight of the week also leads into our player of the week honours to one of our young fast bowling stars Jack Makin who had an unforgettable day last Saturday! Jack was selected to make his seniors debut in our D1 Blues side and made a significant impact. But before that, we should probably talk about his "warm-up" game for U14s first! In the morning, Jack played for his U14s side against Hornsby at Auluba. KPCC got themselves to 7/183 afte...Continue reading

16.01.2022 We certainly feel there is more to learn about Beeps, here's his player profile!

14.01.2022 D2s Derby #1 Here are the selected teams for our D2 Derby this weekend! The Reds sadly will not have el-presidente Fergo available for this game but do gain the highly impressive Will Thompson from our U13 Reds. Last time he played for the Reds, he had to retire on 25 against Mt Colah who have been pushed up into C3s! This was because we were unable to get a rating for Will in time but now that it is there, expect him to continue his consistent form shown throughout this s...eason. The Blues will be missing the Woods father-son combo in particular the highly impressive Jimmy who has taken D2s by storm with his bamboozling swing and variation with the ball! However they do get 2 very impressive signings in the fiery David Liney and one of our finest lower grade all-rounders Brian "BT" Taylor! Both players will offer a lot for Captain David Aubourg in their first 1-dayer of the season. This is a huge game for both as neither the Blues or the Reds have registered a victory this season. What are your predictions for the D2s Derby?

13.01.2022 Our Junior Blasters and Girls Master Blasters have kicked off. The girls had 2 washed out sessions before finally having their first yesterday focussing on bowling. Junior Blasters have had 2 sessions focussing on fielding before their session was cancelled due to inconsistent weather. They would have started their theme of bowling. Many thanks to head coach Nav for both programs, Jimmy the Jet Ellis for coordinating the girls program and to our assistant coaches for t...he junior blasters Billy the kid Jameson and Matt Santa’s Secret Helper Brown for your efforts thus far. We appreciate your time in developing our younger programs for the juniors pathways. And of course the parents for your participation in not only bringing your kids but also helping our coaches where needed! Here are a few pics from our programs. Our Mixed Friday night Master blasters will start next week 6:30-8pm.

12.01.2022 D2s Derby #1 Our first D2s Derby of the season was played on Saturday, a lot was at stake for both teams none more than the Reds who were playing their first in D2s after a tough few games in the D1 Comp. Sadly for them it was yet another loss and fortunately it was a 1st win for Kisso (Aubourgs and Co) Blues Team which they got off the last ball of their innings! Let’s get into how the game went. The Blues won the toss and The Hare elected to field at Howson Oval. Sir Jef...frey and The Big Show started cautiously until Geoff Wilson the Kisso Jonty Rhodes came on and took the key wickets of Sir Jeffrey (caught behind) and then Stevie Hall with a great caught and bowled effort. Jonty finished with 2/14 off 4 overs, the best figures of the match! Ang-ry and The Big Show looked to consolidate until Bri Aubourg got through Ang-ry’s defence for 12. Karan Singh came in at number 5 and meant business from the outset hitting the only 6 of the game. The Big Show (28) and Karan fell in quick time with the Reds looking shaky at 5/86. The youngest players in the side Thommo and The Little Show (Krishan a late addition to the team) put on 4 before The Little Show got outdone by a BT special. The Baron came in and gave plenty of confidence to Thommo as they put on a further 34 runs before the Baron also got outdone by BT for 12. Thommo finished the innings brilliantly with a final score of 22* to give the Reds a little sniff of defending a reasonable total of 7/128. U13 Reds’ Thommo is still yet to be dismissed in senior cricket!! Just after bowling a 7 over spell and then wicket-keeping straight after that, the Blue’s marquee player Si-bourg was named to open with the run machine Luca. After a promising 33 run opening stand, Luca fell for 9. Sambrero arrived at number 3 and another 33 runs was added before Aryan got runout for 14. BT came and went for 3 and then Jonty arrived to the crease to try put the Blues back on track with Si-bourg. That they most definitely did as they put on 35 runs before Geoff was bowed for 19. Simon got to his 1st 50 of the season and was given another obstacle to overcome when his Dad got runout and then David Goliath Wilson was bowled for 0 soon after. The match was certainly in the balance at 6/117, but the incredible fitness of Si-bourg and brilliant running from Charlie La Rosa got the Blues over the line on the last ball of the innings to snatch victory. Si-bourg finished on an incredible 67* which consisted of 1x four and 43 singles! An incredible effort from Si-bourg who understandably needed to lie down after his gruelling effort throughout the entire game! The game was played in great spirit and we would also liked to congratulate the Reds for playing the way they did with great integrity. Here are a few pics of the game taken by Ivan.

10.01.2022 Here are the rest of our results, a few more fighting efforts to note! As vs Hornsby With 1st innings already lost on Day 1, Kisso went all out to get the final 4 wickets with Timmy Tractor (6/45 off 16.4 overs), Panther Nav (2/20 off 11 overs), Wylie (1/22 off 8 overs) and Browndog (1/39 off 13 overs) the wicket takers. With the heat starting to increase and Hornsby looking visibly disappointed to start their 2nd fielding effort early, The Don took the opportunity to bludge...Continue reading

10.01.2022 Here are the rest of our results from the weekend: As lost by 23 runs against St Ives - sadly a stellar show from Tim Love to begin the season was just not enough for our As to chase down 112. Tractor finished the game with 35 not out in the 1st innings and 10 wickets in the match as he snared 4 in the 2nd dig to limit St Ives' chance of an outright. Kenny Druce also chipped in with 2 wickets in his 12 over spell in the 2nd innings. A brilliant effort from the last 4 wicke...Continue reading

08.01.2022 Highlight of the Week 2 Kisso Red vs Blue Derbies played on the weekend, both at Howson! U12 Reds and D1 Blues were the victors! The U12s Derby were up first with the Reds winning by 17 runs in an extremely competitive match. The Reds batted first and got themselves to 4/139 led by Marcus Neilly (30 off 30), Dan Blackmore (28 off 30) and a dashing finish from the in form Oli Makin (17* off 9). Ethan "Shredder" Schreuder led the bowling with 2/11 off his 3 overs. ...Continue reading

08.01.2022 With Oli Makin just missing out on the "Player of The Week" honours, he did win himself the opportunity to be the 2nd player we profile for this season. Oli is a member of another family of 5 in the Makins who have done plenty for the club since his elder brother Jack joined in 2013. Oli joined the junior blaster program in 2015 and like his brother has consistently been one of the fastest bowlers, biggest hitters and most energetic fielders in his age group. He is a bright future for our senior teams and surely one of many reasons for his WPHC A Grade dad James to finally play for the right club!

08.01.2022 With no word from the association about cancelling the upcoming round for our seniors, we will go ahead in previewing our first round of 2021 starting this Saturday 9th January. Sadly, our D1 Red side (now D2 Red) after a tough start to their season have moved down in to D2s and our current D2s side will now be D2 Blue. D1 Blue will now become D1s. All our teams will play their 1-Dayers close to home and start at 12:30pm, except for our A's who'll start at 12pm. Let's ge...Continue reading

02.01.2022 Highlight of The Week Our girls team played their 2nd game of the season, their first with their team shirts pictured below. It was another great effort from all the girls displaying high enthusiasm and team spirit in their game against Castle Hill Lightning at Browns Field. Well done girls, we look forward to hearing more from you!! Stay tuned for more of our results from the weekend!

01.01.2022 Highlight of the Week Auluba Oval witnessed one of KPCC's highest ever run chases as our B2s got past Castle Hill's 304 with 1 wicket in hand!! Brad Rishworth and Morto came out to bat on the start of Day 2 with the score at 0/4 off 2 overs. The 2 (predominantly Mort!) put on a further 20 runs before Brad got out lbw for 2. The first of B2s' two Week 2 players in JD arrived to the crease at number 3 and he put on a 54 run partnership for the 2nd wicket with Morto. JD the...n fell for 28 with the score on 2/78 and the dangerous Dashy walked out to the middle with his chest puffed out after smashing all the bowlers on last Thursday's seniors training. Dashy and Morto put on a further 72 runs (again mainly Morto!) before Morto's belligerent innings ended on 86 which consisted of 12x fours and 1x six. The score was 150 at the fall of the 3rd wicket. Captain Belly arrived and he added 31 to the 4th wicket partnership of 56 with Dashy before Belly was the next wicket to fall. Chiefy and Skinner came and went for 0 each and the score now looking more in Castle Hill's favour at 6/209. In came the second of B2's Week 2 players Callum Watson who last picked up the bat 9 months before his 10 minute net at Seniors training last Thursday! He loves a chase and so does Dashy so the intensity lifted with the 2 piling on a 41 run partnership to get Kisso to the 250 mark. This put KPCC back on track with the chase and still requiring 54 more runs! Dashy then fell for a brilliant 69, which consisted of 4x fours and 1x six before Watto followed soon after for 19. With the score now on 8/250 and the advantage to Castle Hill, KRB and Oli "Spud" Vaughn who are familiar with troubling batting situations combined to put on a 34 run partnership before KRB fell for 28! With KPCC still in the hunt for the win, icemen Josh Klingberg and Spud got the team over the line with a magnificent unbeaten 27 run 10th wicket stand. Jubilation from Belly's men kept going throughout the weekend, Morto in particular with his innings showing signs of him finally regaining the form we are so used to seeing from him. An outstanding and inspiring effort from B2s that would surely set them up for a big season ahead! Job well done lads!
