22.01.2022 DID YOU KNOW (the facts & some helpful tips for you to stay safe in uncertain times ) We are stressed. We don’t feel as safe. There is a lot of uncertainty in the world right now. Based on our Australian Stats, only 5% of adults actually eat sufficient amounts of fruit and veg a day.... Supporting our immune system has never been more important. Your immune system is the strongest defense you have again sickness and viruses. It’s so important we do the best we can to nourish it Fruit and veg is what supports your immune system, so you can feel safe and strong. I can’t stress enough the importance of eating 7-10serves of fruit and veg EACH DAY. This amount is just enough to make a difference. If this is too hard (and stats prove that it is for 95% of us) then find a way the bridge the gap and that’s actually convenient to our busy lifestyles. My tips: choose wholefood powders over synthetic vits and mins tablets from the chemist. Wholefoods include the active enzymes that make the nutrients BIOAVAILABLE in the body (so you actually absorb it into your blood stream) choose encapsulated supplements/powders rather then powders in a container or tub as every time you open the container and oxygen gets in, you oxygenate the nutrients and the enzymes die. choose a product that has independent market research. There are some great brand out there These wholefood powders in the photo are the most researched nutraceutical in the world, so naturally it’s my go to. It’s scientifically proven to support a healthy immune system. Make sure you are choosing health plant based meals and snacks, eat your fruit and veg and find a concentrated product that will support your body’s defence system @happylifestylesco

22.01.2022 Although staying active on holidays and since returning I haven't completed a structured workout in 4wks! What a killer! 5mins on my bike 4 rounds... 2min skipping 1min box jumps 1min burpees 50 lunge jumps ea/leg 4 rounds 1min Hamstring curls (ball) 1min banded jump squats 1min flute bridges (ball) 1min banded squat pulse To say the least, I'll know about it today!! It's can be tough to get back into, to get on top of the never ending excuses we seem to come up with, and to feel motivated with so much else going on BUT it is more than worth it!!

14.01.2022 Have you tried Cauliflower Pizza? . Here’s a popular #HSE recipe you can try out for yourself.. All my #hse clients love it CAULIFLOWER CRUST PIZZA... Ingredients for crust: * 1 small head cauliflower * 2 whole eggs * 15 ml (1 tbsp) coconut flour * 15 ml (1 tbsp) ground chia seed * 1 garlic clove, minced * 5 ml (1 tsp) sea salt * 2.5 ml ( tsp) dried basil * 2.5 ml ( tsp) dried oregano * Fresh ground black pepper Ingredients for toppings: * 95 g ( c) cashew cheese * 125 ml ( c) creamy tomato and basil sauce or pesto * Dash olive oil * Generous pinch of oregano and black pepper * Add toppings of your choice Directions for Crust: 1. Preheat oven to 170 C/ 335 F. chop cauliflower florets into small pieces and place into food processor/ blender and blend until pureed. You will have a thick smooth mix that looks like mashed potatoes. 2. Lightly steam cauliflower mash for 3-5 minutes. Place the lightly steamed cauliflower into a nut milk bag and squeeze the excess water from the cauliflower. 3. While still in nut milk bag, place a heavy weight on top for 5 minutes to remove any excess moisture. Discard the cauliflower liquid. The end result will resemble a firm puree. 4. Combine the remaining ingredients into a large bowl and mix thoroughly. Spread the dough into 1 large pizza shape on a baking paper lined tray. Avoid spreading the dough too thin, about inch thick. Bake for about 20-25 minutes, until the top is golden brown and firm to touch. 5. Take out of the oven. Directions for toppings: 6. Top with your favorite toppings. 7. Bake for another 10-15 minutes at 200 C/ 390 F or until everything on top has warmed and melted. 8. Leave to cool for about 10 minutes so that the base can firm up, and won’t fall apart when you cut it. 9. Enjoy your Cauliflower Crust Pizza with different topping each time.

05.01.2022 SEEDS SEEDS N MORE SEEDS Give these a go Repost from @sarahscleaneats_ SEEDED CRACKERS ... Anyone else loathe spending a ridiculous amount of money when buying lavash or seed crackers when making a grazing board? For a few packets for fancy crackers, you can end up spending anywhere from $20+ ridiculous! For a fraction of the cost, you can make your own at home that taste even better than the store-bought ones & contain no nasties! They are really easy to make and the perfect addition to a grazing board or platter with dips, cheese, veggies, cold meats, nuts, dried fruits etc. They even pair well with tuna & if you needing quick light lunch or mid arvo snack! - The best part about these, they are vegan, nut free, GF, DF, fodmap, keto + paleo friendly! Seeds are packed full of fibre, omega 3, antioxidants &vitamins and minerals which are all important in keeping you healthy Now that we are all staying indoors and at home, I know there are plenty of grazing boards being made so why not give this recipe a go next time get out that bottle of red & put those platter skills to workin’! Don’t forget to tag a grazing board king or queen! - Ingredients (Seeds from: @honesttogoodnessau) 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds 1/2 cup sunflower seeds 1/4 cup sesame seeds 1/4 cup @thechiaco black and white chia seeds 3/4 cup water Salt and pepper, to taste Dried chilli flakes, to taste Dried rosemary, to taste Dried thyme, to taste @maggie_beer dukkah, to taste (optional) - Into a large mixing bowl, add all ingredients and leave for 15-20 mins until the seeds have absorbed the water. Preheat the oven to 170C. Tear off 2 long pieces of baking paper & oil each side using olive oil spray. Place the soaked mixture onto one piece & flatten out the mixture into a rectangular shape using the other piece of the baking paper. Remove the top piece of the baking paper before placing in the oven. Bake for 20 mins or until crunchy. Take the tray from the oven & roughly break into large pieces. Turn each piece over & place back in the oven until that side becomes crunchy & cooked (another 10-15 mins should do the trick). Allow to cool before serving and enjoy

It was til I started to face my horrible self destructing beliefs & thoughts that I became a more fearless, confident & courageous young woman. These days, I can look myself fair in the eye through the mirror & see nothing but strength & beauty So here's a few words of truth from the i...ncredible @adrianbbrannan "Dear Cowgirl, For the girl looking at herself in the mirror and hating what she sees... Loving your body only when it is in "perfect" shape is like loving your children only when they are being well behaved. Sexy is not a size. Every calorie is not a war. Your value isn't measured in pounds, and your importance isn't known by your appearance. Please remember Dear Cowgirl, that women come in ALL shapes and sizes. This is a reminder that all women have love handles. We all have a secret pair of jeans in the back of the closet that we keep "just for when" we loose that extra weight. All women have bad breath in the morning, messy hair and left over mascara on their cheeks when they wake up. All girls when working with an all male cowboy crew have to find a hill or tree to hide behind to pee. Yep I said it. everyone does it. You don't have to feel like less of a hand because of it. All women wonder before they pull out the sleeveless shirts in the springtime for branding. Arm flab happens, loose skin happens. All women "tuck" their tummy in when they settle horseback. . All women have stretch marks, moles and wrinkles. Scars and quirks and little things that make each one unique. We have bodies, they change and alter and grow. They are damn beautiful. No airbrushed magazine cover, no beautified celebrity and no "perfect" Instagram model can be the ideal standard of what we, as women should attain to. If our bodies exist dear cowgirl - they are beautiful. Literally. If your legs do not work and they sit in a wheelchair - they are beautiful. If they are whiter than snow because they are always covered in jeans - they are beautiful. If they are tanned, strong and hold you while you run miles and miles - they are beautiful. No matter what you "are" it is beautiful This doesn't mean that health and wellness are not important - rather a reminder to always look in the mirror and to LOVE every inch of what you see. You are perfect dear cowgirl, you are real. You are beautiful, in case no one has told you yet today
