18.01.2022 Ready for benchtops and splashbacks, this new installation features a wide array of Blum hardware to maximise access and increase the storage available in the kitchen. Both single and bi-fold lift up systems have been chosen, as well as internal drawers and wide drawer units rather than cabinets with shelving. Further space is made available by taking advantage of the high ceiling to add an extra row of overheads for items used infrequently, and adding concealed, push to open... cabinets to the back of the wide island bench. Polytec Ravine Natural Oak board is used as the feature on the lower overhead cabinets and the back of the island, with HVG SmartPanel Acrylic Alabaster in Ultimate Matt as the main face material. A contrasting 3D acrylic brushed metal edge by Surteco adds a highlight to the individual pieces, accentuating the cabinet lines and complementing the brushed metal Rotollo handles by Artia and the stainless steel in the Siemens appliances. Recessed LED strip lighting from European manufacturer L&S, along both lengths of the underside of the L bench top, has been used to illuminate the work surface.
