09.01.2022 Solid Wind Every Day At DOUBLE ISLAND! KBC now offer LESSONS AND KITEBOARDING TRIPS to Double Island every day. Just an 8 minute boat trip with KBC and you are rigging up to ride in Double Islands ultra flat lagoon, or nice reef waves out by Scouts Hat Island. While there is no or little wind on the coast, Double Island is absolutely pumping. Clean solid southerly to south-east winds kick in around 9am and blow all day when the trade winds are in. NO place compares to this unless you go to Cooktown or right out on the reef. This is undoubtably the best kiteboarding location in the whole Cairns region.
