05.01.2022 This morning we screened Tommy at the Safe Childrens Conference in Sydney and afterwards there was barely a dry eye in the room. These individuals are working tirelessly to advocate for children; to ensure safe environments, lobbying for institutional and legislative change, and working with adults who are living with the fallout from that early trauma in their lives. Its really incredible to see the impact that this little film is having on people who work in these field...s, many, if not all, have been through their own trauma and have dedicated their lives to improve the system and help others. Its time for "radical empathy" as one of the speakers remarked this morning; its time to become aware so that we can first heal, and secondly its time to break the cycle of trauma. Thank you to the Safe Childrens conference for having us, and well done on curating such a conscious, intuitive and inspiring line up of speakers. 02.01.2022 Our entry "5 Minutes" for the 48hr film festival made the top 15 Wellington city finalists, out of 132 films! We also got nominated for: Best Script Best Actor - Greta Lee Jackson!... Best Production Design!
