12.01.2022 Some of the background research for the new Effectuators novel, "Book 5: The Fate of Worlds" These are the 'yam lifida' armoured cavalry of sub saharan Africa. Armoured in dense quilts that covered man an horse, these cavalry can still be seen in festivals in Northern Nigeria today. They were once the shock troops of mighty kingdoms that spread from Nigeria to the Sudan. The Effectuators team are off on their travels. Next stop - the legendary silent city of Rei-Boubar!
