25.01.2022 A casualty of my recent studio move - I had to throw out all my old, dried-out palettes. I tend to just use either side of various bits of glass for mixing, with the vague intention of scraping them back and re-using them one day.

13.01.2022 So, long time no update. I have some issues with social anxiety, and running a facebook page where hundreds of strangers can check what I'm up to at any time (and leave threatening, creepy, or just mean comments while they're at it ) made me very anxious. Nevertheless, I want to get this page back up and running. I miss the engagement, and I miss having another archive to look back on. In the past couple of years I have started to make different kinds of work, and at the moment I am primarily painting. I am a bit nervous about alienating people who preferred whatever it was I used to do, but I guess I am going to try to relax, and think of this page as something I maintain for myself. I hope some of you are glad to hear from me again, anyway.

12.01.2022 Recent work! One of the my very last paintings of 2016. I always feel very uncertain about what turn out to be the best pieces - you know, on the day I painted this one I thought it was awful, because it wasn't really like anything I had done before. Kieran, oil on board, 2016.

05.01.2022 I am a bit sad about the changes coming to instagram (an algorithm-based dashboard, like facebook, in which you will only see some posts), but oh well, maybe it won't be so bad. You can follow me there, and find out.
