14.01.2022 Update: Rosey and her 4 babies **not yet available for adoption** The 4 kittens are 4 weeks and 2 days old. They are becoming more independent, learning to love solid food and toilet training. Rosey has had a tough week, having an urgent vet appointment for the start of an infection, we caught it early so she did not lose her milk supply. We did need to bottle feed the babies for a few days while she got better. All doing well now.

11.01.2022 Raven is available for adoption She is a sweet natured kitty that’s just a little shy to begin with, but once she gets to know you and adapts to new environment she’s a absolute smooch. Raven definitely loves all food and will come running for it, she’s roughly 1.5 years old and still loves playing and acting like a oddball. ... She loves other cats so would be suited to a home with other cats as she’s very social, and also ok with cat friendly dogs. If you would like to know more or meet Raven please msg the page.

08.01.2022 Felicia's babies will be 5 weeks old tomorrow and Arabella's babies will be 4 weeks old tomorrow. This week the babies have started solids. They still like to be spoon fed rather than eating from a bowl but as you can imagine spoon feeding 9 babies at once is an impossible task, so they have to learn to use a bowl. They are also still receiving bottle top ups especially Felicia's babies as she has a poor milk supply. We are going through lots of wambaroo kitten milk and mother and baby wet food at the moment. *****These babies won’t be available for meet and greets until they are 8weeks old and adoption until they weigh 1.1kg.*****

07.01.2022 More babies We have been helping a lady that has a colony problem and today we received a msg from the her to say she’s found some more kittens. This will make the 4th lot of mothers and babies that we have helped out with so far.... In total including the mother cats there is 13 females and only 2 boys so can you imagine what would’ve happened if she couldn’t get help and once all those girl kittens was at breeding age it would’ve of been a nightmare.

06.01.2022 "Two weeks ago in my local group a lady had said her cat escaped. I suggested letterbox drop and posters. She came back to me and said due to health reasons she can’t walk far. I offered to do it for her. But she didn’t get back to me until Friday. I organised to print flyers and delivered 200 flyers around her home and 15 posters on poles on Saturday morning. Within a few hours she had a text saying she’d been seen. The cat was being fed by residents in a group home. The lady was so thrilled to have her baby back. I didn’t want the reward. But I know what it’s like to lose your furbaby and they never come home. My reward was bringing her little girl home." ~Katie Bee #lostandfound #microchip #petsarefamily

01.01.2022 Firefighters found the kitten, estimated to be about 2 to 3 weeks old, in the middle of the road while battling the North Complex Fire in Northern California on September 20. The kitten was covered in smoke and ash when she was taken to the Cal Oak Animal Shelter and examined by a veterinarian, North Valley Animal Disaster Group said on Facebook. The group named her, of course, Baby Yoda. Baby Yoda is currently in the care of a medical foster care provider, who is showering her with love and attention until she is ready to be adopted. The rescue group waits at least a month for displaced victims of fires to claim rescued pets before offering them for adoption. #yoda #kitten #adorable #rescue #love

01.01.2022 ***REMEMBERING THE CATS*** Thousands of cats were dispatched to the trenches during WW1 to keep rodent numbers down and act as early warning detectors for mustard gas. So many gave great comfort to the troops as companions and mascots. How many cats survived we will never know? Paws At The Ready - The cats of World War One had significant role in all the campaigns, we must honour their bravery too.... Give thought to all the kitties who served in World War One. A battalion of the finest who never fired a gun. What was their role? Whether hunting rodents out at sea, or loyal friends to men, these many cats had vital roles, time and time again. The food was saved. A common sight in trenches deep, dispatching mice and rats, the soldiers’ had a special bond with many of these cats. Many were treasured mascots. *A gunner with the regimental cat in a trench in Cambrin, France, February 6th, 1918 #lestweforget #animals #service
