07.01.2022 Fresh Off The Boat - Kiwi Fresh Fish was celebrating with the whanau (family) at Parklands Waitangi celebrations today - awesomeness!! Proud to reside in such a multicultural and culturally proud place. Happy Aotearoa day for the 6th Feb everyone in NZ and Aus.

02.01.2022 "I confess. A few weeks ago we had a surprise package delivered to our house. It was a surprise cause I didn't know about it even after it was delivered. In fact, I didn't find it for days. So, then doing my Domestic Goddess duties rounds, I decided to clean out the fridge one day...And out went the chicken fillets that I never remembered putting in the fridge. With a confused look on my noggin (I know what goes in and out of that there fridge) I checked the look of em. I ch...ecked the smell of em. And all seemed to be fine, but because I didn't remember ever having put them in that fridge, well I just assumed they should be biffed out. Boy was I wrong! The next day I was told on no uncertain terms, that the chicken fillets I threw out were not chicken at all. They were a treasure! That there fish... was apparently not just any old fish! I had innocently biffed the Fresh Off The Boat Kiwi Fish into my bin. OH NO! Well, I learned my lesson. Kiwi Fish - Fresh Off The Boat is caught fresh and stays fresh for some time - even in the fridge instead of the freezer. I guess that's what you get when you get it off the boat instead off the supermarket and if you want it to stick around for even longer, you just shove it in the freezer apparently. :) But it's not a good idea to NOT tell the Domestic Goddess in your house that you put it in the fridge in the first place coz she may think it's chicken and biff it out! Well, anyway - confession over - that was BEFORE I started eating fish. How was a girl supposed to know??? So - I confess. I'm converted. From a non fish eater, to a fish eater sometimes. Why? coz the fish from Kiwi Fresh was actually not fishy at all! It was bloomin good. How do I know? Cause to make up for biffing the first lot out - I ate double the next time :) Thanks Fishy Fish from the Fresh Off The Boat team.
