10.01.2022 Thank you to our Kuia Sharon Ngatai, Joan Glengarry, and Matua Ken Korohina for attending to support Dylan Mahanga and Ihaka Brown with me. As with all of Dylan's hangis he makes the best in the west with that smokey flavour oozing through. Not only were we well fed by Dylan kindly donated a tray for our sick elders who were not able to attend and we happily delivered them back to Perth and watched each one devour it with gratitude too. Special to Sharon Ngatai who came f...rom Rockingham to Perth to uplift our elders and return to Pt Kennedy and then back to Perth again. We kindly thank Matua Ken Korohina for his time to accompany us, say our karakia for everyone, sing for us, speak for us. Always an honour to call upon Ken. Best hangi ever people and Dylan and Ihaka will be starting this as a business catering for mobile at any event $25 per head and they can feed up to $150. Believe me the hangi is worth every penny. Since living here for 25 yrs I've tasted nearly everyone's hangis and nothing comes close to Dylan Mahanga's. He's been able to take the taste of a ground hangi and brought it up as a mobile facility. They can even cater with drinks as well if that's what you require. Well worth keeping this in mind whanau.
