16.01.2022 Position: Live in maintenance/grounds worker Salary (dependant on experience) + food & board @ $65.00 per week Job description: We are a 36 room Wilderness Retreat located at the entrance to Flinders Chase National Park on Kangaroo Island. We require an experienced and energetic maintenance worker to join our team. Candidates must be able to follow the criteria below; - Upkeep of Resort grounds/gardens.... - Be physically fit. - General Handyman duties including minor building repairs & plumbing. - Dispose of waste materials to WHS regulations. - Communicate proficiently with management as well as fellow team members to complete work efficiently and effectively. - Safely operate machinery and transport vehicles. - Customer service focused, patient and happy to interact and assist hotel guests. - Transferring of water between storage tanks with the use of pumps. - Basic mechanical repairs/upkeep of company vehicles & machinery The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience: - Using power tools & equipment - Carrying out minor building repairs, including plumbing & preventative maintenance in hotel rooms. - Painting. - Industrial cleaning including clearing drains & gutters, polishing floors, cleaning external windows Candidates would be more favourably considered if they have the following; - Full drivers license & heavy vehicle license - Experience with RO Water systems/Desalination plants - Mechanic/Electrical/Plumbing/Building background - Experience with tours Please send resumes to [email protected] or call Russell on 08 8559 7200 See more
