25.01.2022 Barefoot ponies on track

24.01.2022 We’ve had quite a positive response to our webcast chat with Yogi Sharp, The Equine Documentalist It’s always interesting to get feedback after doing things lik...e that. We still had a few detractors, but most were positive & felt it brought a level of awareness to them. It’s amazing how much the negative towards our thoughts on the correlation between open heel shoes & caudal failure, & just how prevalent the problem is within our industry, have stopped since refusing to enter into mindless dialogue where I show supporting discussion data & photos & the farrier just keeps saying ‘it’s caused by bad farrier work,’ ‘it’s caused by horses left 12 weeks between shoeings,’ &/or ‘it’s caused by poor breeding & conformation.’ And to stop this rhetoric, I’ve told them 1 thing, which is ‘show me!’ Take photos of your own clients horses that ‘don’t have caudal failure’, which don’t have under run heels, coronary band distortions, soft tissue displacement & prolapsing! In total, I have received exactly 53 photos. From those photos, 51 actually prove my point!!! So not only are these farriers showing that they are missing these obvious distortions, but they are actually supporting the very comments they oppose! And 51 feet out of 53 works out to be around 96%, which is well above the 90% we talk about. All we ask is that farriers & owners start to take more notice of this problem that plagues our industry. Our favourite saying is ‘you don’t know what you don’t know, but once you’ve seen it you can’t unsee it!’ And if you want more great information on this topic, incl science based studies & case studies that support what we are saying, please have a listen & watch of the webcast. 22.01.2022 Funny girl playing with my tools and gloves she had come right out of her shell, and had quickly become one of the best behaved ladies to trim.

22.01.2022 I'm not the most poetic writer - but here is a quick little article I wrote for the 'Stirling's Endurance Life' magazine

21.01.2022 Another 40km done and dusted for the kids. 100% barefoot

21.01.2022 Dancer's front offside fore after his 40km ride over the weekend. He too has clocked over 80kms over the 14 days leading up to now. Not a missed step over the whole lot of it.

21.01.2022 Dancer's hooves after the 40km ride and a trim. I was a little stressed before the ride as he had too much retained sole I couldn't get out. Well today it all dumped out. Aparently he just needed 40km to loosen it lol he did massive yawns after the trim haha

19.01.2022 Symphony's hooves after 40km ride over weekend.

19.01.2022 She didn't understand what we were laughing at as she stood like this eating Diva is wearing scoot boots

16.01.2022 Wow! They did amazing at their last comp 1.10m

15.01.2022 Taken from David Landerville's group page: This is a comment from David that I think deserves to be it's own post so more people will see it ... "Here are a few things that I always try to keep in mind:...Continue reading

14.01.2022 Mud transformation. Haha. This guy is showing great changes - another 4-6 months and we will be nearly there to perfection (if that even exists in the perfectionist haha)

13.01.2022 Happy Saturday

12.01.2022 Only a hoof freak would do this and enjoy it down hill slippery rocky slope in slow mo

10.01.2022 Love how this shows live tissue versus dead tissue. Amazing transformation

10.01.2022 2.5 months between photos. 2 trims.

10.01.2022 And 30 seconds to take them off pretty easy!!!

08.01.2022 Symphony's front offside after 40km endurance ride on the weekend. It was brutal underfoot in many long sections of the track. She had clocked over 80km bare over the past 14 days leading up to now. Pretty impressive Dancer might have to hand his crown over to Symphony as been top barefoot child at my place haha.

07.01.2022 We would like to thank Kizzas Hoof Care for sponsoring The Champion Senior Part Arabian Exhibit, at our Spring Classic

07.01.2022 Symphony after 41km barefoot at Cooyar, and extra 25km done this week and a trim today.

05.01.2022 30km in last 3 days

04.01.2022 3 horses in a row, all a different breed, a Welsh, a quarter horse, and in Arabian; all different owners; all able to be trimmed unrestrained in their large paddock. I think that is all the feedback I need to say I'm doing something right.

02.01.2022 Dancer’s hooves now coming along and becoming well conditioned a week on from his 41km at Cooyar, another 25km done this week and a trim today.

02.01.2022 4 different horses. All just completed 20km endurance ride barefoot. Two were then trimmed post ride as they were due (4 weeks since last trim) All looking pretty good

01.01.2022 7 months progress
