23.01.2022 With tomorrow’s dressage competition canceled, we decided a little outing was still in order for @_cheryl.v_ PRE Spanish mare Gotico Park Juareeda. First time in this indoor and no problems . Super proud of how much this girl has progressed. 18.01.2022 Never be jealous of others for the work you haven’t put in . Sometimes I think people don’t realise just how much work it takes to have one horse, let alone a... team of horses fit and ready for competition. The amount of work, dedication, discipline and consistency isn’t for everyone and that’s totally fine! Some days I feel like it’s not for me either but I remind myself of my goals and I make myself get on with it. Every day and every training session counts, especially at the business end of the season. Consistency is key, you have to be out there every day, not a few days a week or when you feel like it but putting in the work every single day. Another point I think is important is not comparing your progress to someone else’s. Even within the same level, every competitor is at a different stage of their journey. There could be someone making their first attempt vs someone who is incredibly experienced. The more you go on, the more you realise what you don’t know, the more you appreciate the others, the few, out there competing alongside of you and just how hard it really is. We can’t all win at the same time, we all have our turn at the top eventually when you have put in the extra work and it begins to go your way. Until then, manage your expectations, appreciate your other competitors and learn as much as you can every time you are in the ring. Time in the ring is limited and you have to put countless hours in to be there. You have to grind, you have to bring your best every day. You have to earn that five minutes in the ring for it to go your way. Be honest, make no excuses and give it your all until one day, you get the results back reflective of the work you have put in over the years

10.01.2022 So good to be back out competing! PSG today with Rosetta, a clean but a little flat test... but my goodness the heat! A tidy 65% and 4th place open. I sure did have some cobwebs on my lines but hopefully 2021 allows for some more dancing time with my best friend. This knuckles was after we both had a clear XC and both so proud of the mares we ride. Hoping to make my visits an ongoing regular thing now competitions are back. Kids to adult lessons the only minimal requirement is a smile .

Placed us in 2nd but a couple of rails took us down to 7th , but she has behaved so well and being only our second show jumping course together , we are learning about one another.
