19.01.2022 Monday Morning Meeting Agenda! One thing I dropped when moving out of a team of 3 and into a standalone agent postition was the team meeting. I thought it's just me now, I don't need to communicate what needs to happen with anyone else, so no need for a meeting. ... After a few months, the overwhelm was enormous. Overwhelm is looking at a whole lot of information with no structure. So, I implemented the Monday Morning Meeting Agenda back into my week. Yes, I sat down and had a meeting with myself. It was a game-changer! In this meeting, I looked at my current listings and what actions I needed to take to get them sold. I looked at the week that was, appraisals/listing presentations and next steps to win the business. I looked at the week that is, appointments booked, actions required, and planned my prospecting for the week. 18.01.2022 Who also feels the pressure to keep up with their social media? You can’t just be on one platform, you should be on them all, you should post every day, you should put up valuable content, you should show your personality more. There are so many ‘shoulds!’ I am the first to admit I am not a wizard on social media. My posts are still not consistent, I question whether my posts are of any value, I still make post mistakes!... But I am determined to crack the social media code! I have now dropped all the ‘shoulds’ and going to have fun with it. Keep watching this space and don’t forget to share, like, and comment.

05.01.2022 Boss Versus Leader! Over dinner, we asked our 5-year-old daughter, who is the boss of your group of friends? Her response was No one is the boss, but I am the leader! So, it got me thinking what is the difference between a boss and a leader and I think this simple answer from a 5-year-old explains it perfectly. ... I want to be the leader because then my friends WANT to play the games I want to play. Let me know, are you a boss or a leader? Does your team take action because they want to or because you told them to? The wisdom of a 5-year-old!

04.01.2022 3 Rules before you start prospecting! 1. Know who you are calling. Even if you are cold calling, have a general sense of who you are calling and what they will be interested in. 2. Add value. Give the receiver information of value. Be clear on the value to them.... 3. Know what you want out of the phone call, not just what you are hopeful for. For example, aim to book a market appraisal but as a minimum gain an email address. You will gain more traction if you are clear on the above 3 things before you pick up the phone!

03.01.2022 Planning! Let’s be real planning isn't for everyone. At times real estate can feel like it’s impossible to plan anything in advance. So many things can interpret your day/week/ year. 2020 was pure evidence of that. ... So, what is the point of making a plan? Having a plan gives you a reference point, gives you an indication if you are on track or off track. No one wants to work hard for 12 months or more and then realise what you have been doing wasn’t working. Break down your goals, your numbers, and then take action today!
