12.01.2022 On Saturday morning, we received, with great sadness, the news that our dear friend, Anare Vula, born Ovalau, Fiji, passed away on Friday night in Suva. He was formerly with the Fiji Police Band, often at the front of the band as Drum Major, and more recently as Director of Fiji Corrections Band. He was also involved with the Salvation Army Band in Suva. He leaves behind his lovely wife Eleni and a young son and two daughters. Anare and Muritikei Rakadi, as members of Fiji Police Band, spent several months with us in 2015, learning how to repair brass instruments, so that they could better look after their bands instruments. I was only talking with him last week! Anare was only in his 40s! RIP Anare, we will not forget you
