25.01.2022 Always a story behind the job Irene visited the open garden I hosted 2 years ago. Keeping my details we got the go ahead to create her new garden in Oakford Rise Mt Barker. Was a very Blanc canvas to begin with, I sketched a few ideas down but the drawings were never going to show my vision. Should say a big Thankyou to Irene for trusting my ideas. We’re 99% done just waiting for electricians to wire in lights and pond. ... We surprised Irene today with the first few gold fish ironically we named them Tim and Kyle. Tim Hill job well done. 25.01.2022 Ive shown you plenty of photos from the front of Haircare Australia. Out the back there is also a lot of hedges but also some very nice areas of lawn that I maintain. Always nice to see the areas well used by the staff on there lunch breaks aswell.

24.01.2022 Thinking about leaving the husky at home and taking the Dyson to work for a few weeks.

23.01.2022 Wimbledon it is not. But since taking over the tennis court at our weekly Stirling client in 2 months we have covered holes and filled gaps, removed weeds and most importantly weve lowered the grass height by over half so its actually playable now. Fertilised last week so its bouncing back more. Still room for improvements.

23.01.2022 Job complete. Fits nicely in its new location. Wasn’t an easy fix but we got there.

23.01.2022 Spring days spent at home in the garden.

23.01.2022 Conclusion of day 2. Starting to take shape. Gonna be some happy chickens

23.01.2022 Fire pit, It’s not complete yet but it’s getting really close. Tim Hill has done his thing with the steps, while I’ve hit a lot of stone and moved some earth. Large sleeper wall was the start but the basket range sandstone steps are the real show.

22.01.2022 Changed from the hedge trimmer to the grinder today. Once a unused garden bed is now a ideal bench for the outside entertainment area.

22.01.2022 The latest update. Tim Hill going awesome with his cappers and started installing the lights. Myself today finished the walls. Onto the crazy pave area tomorrow. Pond spouts are in ready for the pump.

21.01.2022 Always fun when the family calls in for a visit. Installed this water feature today making the most out of what was an old pit.

21.01.2022 The end of day 1. Its pretty heavy, thats what we learnt today. Jarrah beams were fun.

20.01.2022 Fence complete, painted and all. Photinia hedge and some maples to complete the corner. Access gate with a tricky little paving path aswell.

17.01.2022 On mondays we edge. New lawn area well on its way after removing some big trees. Levelling the area and adding 60 tonnes of new sandy loam.

17.01.2022 When Irene said she wanted a pond in the design this isn’t what I had in mind.

15.01.2022 As fresh a cut as you can get.

14.01.2022 To go along with the topiary trimming today. This amazing property we maintain in Stirling has the lawns to match aswell. Fertilised 2 weeks ago and scored some nice rainfall.

14.01.2022 Its not all done by power tools. Nothing like getting the old hand sheers out for a run.

14.01.2022 The chooks are ready to move in. Just the roof and some doors to go and they can move in permanently.

13.01.2022 Well in 2020 we finally had to bunker down at home to work. Wasn’t COVID but just the delightful Adelaide hills weather. Good chance to keep things rolling on our current job. Basketrange sawn Waller steps coming up.

13.01.2022 Fresh cuts and some fresh lines.

13.01.2022 Not everything is straight lines and perfect balls. Shaping of all sorts is very effective around walls and existing trees so long as its done correctly.

13.01.2022 Full irrigation manifold replacement. Perfect day and location for it. Site foreman is pretty happy.

13.01.2022 Big hedges and getting licked to death. All in a days work.

12.01.2022 One big happy family at Kjs gardens. So when you leave something behind at a clients house why wouldnt you receive this.

12.01.2022 At the end of another week this is what makes you look back and no youve done your job well. Tim Hill

12.01.2022 Seven months ago we sold our little cottage garden and moved to what we saw as a large scale blank canvas. Here is the transformation of the front yard, including some of the plants which we brought with us. It is the perfect area for the kids to run around and play. Plus, Tess’ new favourite spot for fetch.

10.01.2022 After his recent knee recon its good to have number 1 annoying dog back on the job sites.

09.01.2022 Perfect hills morning for some topiary trimming. Tim Hill

08.01.2022 Fresh cuts for Wednesday

07.01.2022 So were finished. We had a few slight design changes from the client but its come up amazing. Chickens are happy and are already moving in.

07.01.2022 Well Tim and I made it 2 days into winter before we fashioned an old paint tin into a fire pit. Drizzly rain, mud everywhere, dogs that look at you like what are we doing here are all checks. Just under 3 months of this left.

06.01.2022 Definitely not shapes you’ll find in the manual. Not balls or cones, not even close to a straight hedge but they work.

06.01.2022 Im only a small business, with a very small handful of clients. Im very personal with them all, like an extended family. Big and small gardens, from front to back they are all amazing gardens and I fell very privileged that I get to do what I love each day in them. Which leads me to the pictures. A priceless handmade gift to me. After a recent visit to my garden she thought Id love this. She was right.

05.01.2022 The job of replacing burst/blocked and or cracked pipes 0/10. The view weve had 10/10.

05.01.2022 Couple reasonable days for Tim Hill and myself. Slabs done, 3.5 tonne mixed by the master of mixers Kyle and levelled by laser eyes Tim. Next onto the chicken coop or palace. Will keep you posted on the construction process.

04.01.2022 Autumn in 1 photo. The hills have come alive.

03.01.2022 Well 2019 was a massive year at KJs and it finished of with the arrival of grace. Currently beginning 2020 with some rest and time with the family before I get started into what promises to be a bigger and better year.

03.01.2022 Has been great having Gertig Earthmoving do all the ground work for our next big job. Stay tuned to see the progress and final transformation.

02.01.2022 As another week comes to an end. I’ll just leave you with these images of a lawn we maintain.

01.01.2022 Big hedges are no problem when you work as a team. 75 plus meters was no problem for Tim up top and me front and back. First post welcoming Tim Hill to KJs and I couldnt be happier to have him by my side.

01.01.2022 220 pickets to go. Been a big transformation for this corner. Huge pine taken out. We reconfigured the driveway edge now its onto the picket fence before planting out.
