24.01.2022 Grading was completed around 12.30pm - 4hrs of hard work and everyone did very well. You all should feel proud of your accomplishment and also understand why we train the way we do. Always remember, strong mind = strong body. To build & strengthen both mind & body, we must temper both on the floor in our general training. Two phrases come to mind and are paramount herein: Osu no Seishin & Train hard, fight hard - One feeds the other, keep that in mind... I congratulat...e all students today whom completed the grading and welcome you all to your new grades! And now your journey both starts again as well as continues (that should confuse you)... A special mention to my assistants today Sensei Brett Whitestyles, Sensei Troy Stevens and Sempai Dave Streeter - they too started new journeys today, down the road of grading examiners, and I look forward to them being by my side at all our future gradings through this process! Also a big thanks to those guys at the back who helped everyone through today - Joseph Muscat, Kylie Green, Nicholas Ward-Grodd and Michael Ward-Grodd - your assistance and help is very appreciated and welcomed. Ok, I’ve rambled on enough now so enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone and I look forward to seeing you all on the floor Tuesday night to start wearing in those new grades!! Osu!

23.01.2022 Osu and good morning everyone! Just a quick reminder that this Saturday we are hosting our Gasshu from 9am to 1pm (all grades welcome whom regularly train in the senior class). In attendance will be some of our Yudansha from one of our Brisbane dojo’s and indeed on Friday evening we will also have a black belt only session from 5:30pm to 7pm with our guests. 14.01.2022 Reminder everyone... Tomorrow Shihan Zac is hosting the Juniors (and Seniors are welcome too) grading preparation training session. Class commences at 8:30am and those Seniors whom would ordinarily train in the ASE class are strongly encouraged to attend and assist Shihan! Those Seniors wishing or thinking of applying to grade in our end of year grading are also strongly encouraged to attend this session to help polish your requirements. For those not grading, this is the ...perfect opportunity to begin your teaching experience under the guidance of one of our most senior and experienced exponents. A great opportunity for anyone and everyone whom attends! OSU!

13.01.2022 We had an old friend visit us tonight - Sensei Gavin Hill made an appearance whilst visiting family in town. Sensei is has always and will always be welcome in our dojo at any time. Was great to train with an old mate again!

12.01.2022 Our junior team travelled to Proserpine this weekend to compete in the first Inter-club tournament for 2021! Our team fought hard, showed great respect and had fun!! Well done to everyone, this tournament was a great stepping stone toward the Australian Junior Championships. Huge thank you to Whitsunday Kyokushin Karate Proserpine for hosting the event OSU!

10.01.2022 ***IMPORTANT INFORMATION*** Training is ON TONIGHT for Juniors and Seniors If you are over 12 years old, you must wear a mask to enter the building and once you have lined up you may remove your mask to train and then wear it again as soon as training is finished. Parents are not to enter the building, please drop off the kids and wait in your car this week. No exceptions ... If you have been in the greater Brisbane area since March 20 you must NOT turn up to training. Thank you for your understanding OSU

06.01.2022 Welcome to 2021 everyone and Happy New Year! Senjo Dojo Mackay recommences training tomorrow night for Senior class only at our usual time, 6:30pm - 8:00pm. Junior training will resume Tuesday 19th January, 5:30pm - 6:30pm. For the time being there will be no Saturday training, however this class will begin again soon enough so be on the lookout for updates! Hope you all had a fantastic Christmas/New Year break with the ones closest to you and look forward to seeing you b...ack on the dojo floor ready to give 2021 a good shaking! OSU.
