25.01.2022 Tanya deserves a medal! She has worked at Biggera Waters OSHC Service for many years and has been dedicated to her role as an Educator and really involves herself with the children, even challenging them with Hand Ball Competitions! Tanya became unwell earlier this year and had a month off work to recover. In this time she took it upon herself to dedicate her recovery time to her studies. We joke that "being unwell was the best thing for her study". Tanya has strived for success and upon completing her Diploma last week was also awarded the role as Co-ordinator of her Service. Best wishes to you Tanya, you are a real gem!

22.01.2022 Congratulations to Ashleigh Clark on completing her Diploma! Kool Kids Training College Trainer Yoko Jenkins writes: 'Ashleigh completed her certificate III as a school based student and when signing up for her diploma, she was a bit unsure how far she could go.... I enjoyed receiving a lot of phone calls, text messages and emails, it has been great to see this student’s completion. She has been a task focused student and although Ashleigh has had some challenges, she has completed the diploma and I am very proud of her achievement.' Congratulations! 21.01.2022 Congratulations to Macey Devitt on completing her Cert III in ECEC! Kool Kids Training College trainer Bronwyn Reid says, 'Macey is a dedicated and passionate early years educator and is a valuable member of her team at Rivercity World of Learning.... Macey has worked hard over the past 18 months to achieve her goal of gaining her Cert III in ECEC. Throughout my times visiting Macey, it was clear to see that she put into practice with the children the knowledge and skills she was learning from both her studies and work experiences. Macey’s talents showed through in her ability to work inclusive with all children as she approached each situation and challenging moment with a view to supporting and encouraging each child to manage their emotions and frustrations in appropriate ways. Macey demonstrated this by providing a listening ear, comforting words, and offering a variety of avenues for the children to channel their ideas and interests through their play and interactions with others.' Congratulations from the whole Kool Kids Training College team!

20.01.2022 Be organised... do what works for you. Review learner guide and save this to your files. Our learner guides are a great resource to use, not just for study purposes, but for sharing with your peers. Work through Knowledge Questions. If you get stuck on a question, take a photo and send to your trainer, ask your colleagues at your centre for guidance as well.... Staff lunch breaks are a great time to brainstorm with your peers. Don’t be afraid to pick their thoughts. Use children’s rest times at the centre to seek support from your peers, it is a quieter time of the day, and you can ask questions of your colleagues for the purpose of your assessments.

20.01.2022 Congratulations to Brylee Finch on completing her diploma! Kool Kids Training College trainer Yoko commented, ‘Brylee is one of the most enthusiastic students that I have ever had. She’s an early bird and sends me text messages and emails in the early morning before her roster starts. She checks them during her break time to ensure her tasks are done in time.’... Kymberley, the director at Good Start Early Learning Innisfail commented, ‘Brylee has set her goals really well and has been a task focused student’. Congratulations Brylee! 17.01.2022 Huge congratulations to Jordann and Stacey who have completed their CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care apprenticeships. Both educators have also previously completed their Certificate III with Kool Kids Training College as well. Jordann started as a School Based Trainee and completed her certificate whilst at school and then continued with her employment at Kool Kids Helensvale once she left school and then enrolled in her Diploma.... Here is Stacey's journey - 'I started my Kool Kids Training College journey in February 2019 with Jackie as my training doing my Certificate 3. I set the goal for myself that I would be cert 3 qualified by my 30th birthday (December 2019). A few weeks after starting classes I started work placement at Kool Kids Helensvale, and by March a job opportunity had opened up, Jess (my director) offered me assistant educator in senior kindy! Of course I said yes, I was so proud to be finally working in the industry and following my dreams. By November I had gained my cert 3 and achieved my goal of being qualified for my 30th. At that point I hadn’t decided if I was going to take on my diploma but by January after having a break from study I decided why not? What did I have to lose? By February I signed up as an apprentice studying my diploma with KKTC's Janine. Even with COVID in the mix I still received all the support I needed to complete my Diploma! Fast forward to today (18/08/2020) I’m now Diploma qualified and couldn’t be happier with all that I’ve achieved. Couldn’t have done it without the support of my amazing trainers and the girls I work with....' #besttraining

14.01.2022 DID YOU KNOW? There are 32,000 international students from over 130 countries studying on the Gold Coast! And Carolina Vivanco (pictured below) is one of them! ... And we are so pleased that she chose KKTC to enrol in her Early Childhood Education and Care qualification as an international student here on the Gold Coast. She provides this testimonial from her first few months with us! "Since starting the course at Kool Kids Training College, I have thoroughly enjoyed the training and support provided by the team. They are wonderful people who are experts in their respective fields of education. Jacqueline Atkins my trainer is quite possibly the best educator I have ever came across and had the pleasure to meet in my lifetime. She is kind, caring, selfless and an absolute expert in this specific field. In my case she worked tirelessly to achieve me a placement at a centre during the Covid-19 pandemic where my older sister worked. The team at Kool Kids Training College did all the liaising between the centre and I. The professionalism showed by the KKTC team I believe gave me an opportunity to be offered week in week out paid work around my studies. For this I am truly thankful and cannot wait for the remainder of the course to unfold..." Congratulations Carolina. We are so pleased we have been able to help you both in training and securing employment. You've made our day with these kinds words! #InternationalStudent #GreatQualificationsGreatOpportunities #Cricos #studygoldcoast
