24.01.2022 Our 3rd week at Little Athletics is on tomorrow at the Kyneton Showgrounds - Huge numbers of athletes last week (130) - After 3 weeks some people will have used their (2) free trial days, please Officially Register if this is the case. We cannot tabulate results for Points or PB’s until this is done as the Child’s name will not be in the system. The only way to be sure you are paid up is if your child’s name is on the Group sheets. Also we ask that if you are a parent watchi...ng due to numbers we will need you to be distanced unless you are helping run events.... Helping can include Tabulating Results returning Shot Puts or Discus, Raking the Long Jump pits or Organising kids at the start of the runs or getting in a finishing order at the end of the race... Please remember many sanitised hands make light work we love you being involved as much as this season allows. See you tomorrow 8.45 sign in at the tent kids find your groups for a 9am start

18.01.2022 Another awesome day at Little Aths last Saturday. As mentioned in the morning if you haven't officially registered yet and you have done your (2) Days trial, please register. LAVic need to know every Athlete is covered by insurance and the last thing we want to do is turn kids away ! Also after being (3) weeks in the Points and PB's need to start counting so the kids dont get too far behind towards end of season Awards. It's great to see kids out and active again

16.01.2022 As most of you are aware now next weekend we are running Kyneton Little Athletics as normal, we will have a few families away at the State Championships so will need people help out as much as they can. Peter Hayes has offered to organise the morning and along with other families helping im sure it will be a great day.. Thanks Pete The program will be from Week (9) which we lost through bad weather. I would like to take this time to say thank you to all of the families that make Kyneton Little Athletics a fun place to be on a Saturday morning. Also thanks so much to our wonderful Committee and the regular helpers Our Centre couldnt run without you and Well done to all of Our Little Athletes, well done on an awesome year, you have done yourself proud ! 11.01.2022 Gday everyone I hope you are all going well this tough time. We were lucky to get through our season and hopefully this will be over by the time our new season starts. As you are all aware we have all of the results sorted for the 2019/20 season but wanted to have a presentation day to celebrate our winners as a group. The committee will attempt to meet soon online and discuss options for this. I will say that our PB bands had the desired affect with a big spike in Personal... Bests for the year If anyone is in need of anything please done hesitate to ask Im sure we can help out. Well done everyone, stay at home and stay safe! See more

08.01.2022 A great turn out today for our first cross country. Well done to everyone and thanks to all of the parents for so much help... Lovely to see everyone

06.01.2022 We are proposing a pretty informal Cross Country Run this Saturday along the Campaspe River Walk. See the map attached. Arrive at 10.15am for a 10.30am Start. The start point is at the foot bridge at the end of Mitchell St. We will need to adhere to Social Distancing rules so may start at intervals depending how many people turn up.... The Finish point for the 2km Run is at the Foot Bridge Near the Community Park at the Botanical Gardens. The Finish point for the 3km Run is near the Mollison Bridge next to the Velodrome. Timing will need to be done by the Little Athlete or their parent and then be sent to us via text on 0417549257 so we can keep a record for you. The timed distances will be 2km and 3km and Parents are most welcome to run as well. Of course walking is allowed so feel free to come down and be involved. If you are keen to be involved as a Marshall along the course that would be great also. If there is enough interest in this we will make it a weekly event in the lead up to our uncertain Summer season. See more

05.01.2022 Gday there I hope everyone is well ! We are still working through issues related with running a Presentation we will endeavour to get the information to members very soon and have a Presentation or have a Medal / Certificate pick up day very soon.

04.01.2022 Just an update on the upcoming Kyneton Little Athletics Season: We are currently in a bit of limbo for a season start date, rest assured behind the scenes the committee is working towards things as per normal but will be guided by LAVic and the Government in relation to what is allowed with gatherings and local sport. This Sunday we should know a little more and as soon as the Registration Portal is open we will be letting you know. Im sure there are plenty of kids keen to g...et out and burn off some of that energy. We will also monitor this date and let you know if we decide to hand out 2019/2020 Certificates and Trophies in another form rather than the start of the season if this is delayed. In the meantime if you have any fun things that your little athletes are doing in lockdown to keep fit, fast and strong send them through Stay Safe

03.01.2022 Please see the current details in Relation to COVID-19. This brings to an early end our Cross Country Training Group. If you would like to Individually run the 2 or 3km Course as part of your daily exercise and send through your times and we can post on here as a virtual leaderboard. In relation to the Upcoming Spring/Summer Season things are currently on hold, we will be lead by all updates from the State Government and LAVic. Please everyone stay safe and well.
